Welcome to my
Mountain Website

This is a website for hill walkers and summit-baggers, attempting to provide accurate Ordnance Survey grid references for the 2000ft mountain tops, and prominent lower hills, of Ireland.

There are many recognised lists of hills and mountains in Ireland - some of the main lists are covered by this website, as well as a list of county tops.  Click on the appropriate link on the adjacent map.

You can use this website to log your own progress against these lists - simply register a Username and Password (free), and follow the instructions on the registry page.

You will also find a mountain search facility, and downloadable files for each mountain area containing GPS waypoints for the summits.

Please contact me with your comments or suggestions about this website.  I would also be grateful to anyone who could send me their GPS recorded grid references, so I can replace my estimated ones, and gradually build up a very accurate database.

What's New - recent changes to this website

18th Apr 2008League Table of mountains having most logged ascents added to My progess page.  See which mountains are the most (and least) bagged amongst members of this site.
Thanks to "Herbert Anchovy" for the idea.
5th Oct 2007On the Mountain Search page, you can now search for hills near to a given Irish grid reference.  Select the option from the "Search for" list and enter the required grid reference (e.g. V 803 844 - will also accept 10 figure grid refs) in the search box.
21st Jun 2007"Read-only" password field added to member details. You can give your username and read-only password to your friends, so they can check your progress without being able to update your logs. Sign in and click on "my details" to add the password.
Thanks to John Kleiser for the idea.
