Parked at SK 09517 29177 and used ROW. Spoke to chap who lived at Parkstile who said the summit field belongs to the Bagot Park estate but he has the use of it. Said it would be ok to visit the trig. With Evie and Tol.RoguePulsar04/07/2020

Parked on grass next to road by the middle footpath to the N and followed this S across fields to Staffordshire Way. Once S of trig point a track on other side of field boundary led back to it, and kept out of sight of farm until last moment.Wheelsy15/08/2018
From Uttoxeter following Staffordshire Way and returning by roads. Lots and lots of mud on route. Trig Point in field near pylon.muzza229/12/2017
2nd Hill of two day on a Loop from Marchington climbing to Barns Hill first then using Hodge Lane, veering off on fp past Knypersley linking to Staffordshire way then on emerging from wooded section veering off to climb over fence then use crops as cover to investigate high land as per Aye Jimmy's grid ref- Gps recorded 162m @ SK 09223 28035. Trig point appears lower. Went back under fence to walk some way into crops recording 161m but it looks very flat. Highest point recorded was 163m @ SK 09242 28072.Incidentally Os maps also records a higher figure for the edge of crops SW of Trig point. Beautiful lighting today. I followed field edge then climbed into wood to follow tracks through the Marchington woodlands; Dixon's Hill, Birch Coppice to linking footpath onto minor road then back into forest on track to descend on minor road near Woodroffe's Cliff taking footpath back into Marchington using two headtorches. Some tricky overgrown stiles over streams.Dazingdale23/12/2017
Along Staffs Way from the north, Over stile at the end of the woodland, through gate on L, followed wire fences around the edges of the pasture to reach the TP.Moorponder16/10/2017
From pt.133m entrance to Marlpit farm. Easy walk on road up to trees at Parkstile. Path has been diverted here to avoid squelchy section. Crossed next field then diverted back along margins to top. No one about.stig_nest16/04/2017
