A second visit during a 5 hr walk with L out and back along the Greensand Way in a lovely warm autumnal day surrounded by golden leaves. fabulous views to the South Downs. George Harrison’s famous Beatles song 'Here Comes the Sun' was apparently inspired by this view.(sun, sun sun here it comes) whilst visiting his friend Eric Clapton who lived close to here. We should have read the web advice that Pitch Hill is a favourite spot for mountain biking so avoid weekends when the car park is jampacked and watch out for bikes using steep narrow tracks that cross major paths.L was almost hit when venturing down a steep side path for a loo visit! I heard her squeal to the simultaneous squeal of brakes!Chris Pearson21/10/2018

First of three hill summits in a 17Km circular walk with family and friends. Starting in car park on the Radnor Road west of Holmbury Hill, striking west to Pitch Hill, back via Greensands Way to pub lunch at the Kings Head in Holmbury St. Mary's, on to Leith Hill, and then returning to car park via Holmbury Hill. Dry and pleasant most of the day. Some brief showers in the late afternoon.VirtualMountain30/04/2017

9 Tumps / 20 miles between Holmwood and Dorking stations: Leith, Holmbury, Pitch, Warren, Dunley, Longmoor, Bury, Tower, Terrace. Followed Greensand Way from Holmbury Hill - good paths everywhere. Summit has excellent views. Crazy mountain bike descent route on SW flank!Mark Jackson29/08/2016
As part of circular including Peaslake and Holmbury Hill with Tony and Lyndsey. Better views from here than from Holmbury Hill as there is les vegetation in the way. A trig pillar into the bargain.Sixtyplus27/08/2016
Walked up to Ewhurst Windmill from the carpark then up to the summit at Pitch Hill which gave great views towards the South Downs. Returned around the Warren back up the road to the carpark.JohRvs16/08/2016

A quick walk after parking on the side of the road. A very steep increase to the top where a clearing and stone pillar awaited.steverd19/10/2015
Parked on the side of the road and took the steep path to the top of the hill to a clearing and the stone plinth.Dragonzilla19/10/2015
Hot, humid and hazy - no views for any distanceRocksRock16/07/2015
An easy 20 min up and down on major path from car park to west. Popular with dog walkers even on a grey Monday afternoon in January. I orienteered in these woods during the British Champs in May 2013. Summit possibly set back in woods from trig. The Hurtwood Control charity manage a huge area of these Surrey Hills (leaflets at car park) and have a trig pillar look-alike with collecting box near the real trig on summit. Looked like a double trig summit on approach.Chris Pearson06/01/2015
With Gina as part of our round of Historic County Tops in England & Wales. Main summit was Leith Hill county top of Surrey and to include Holmbury Hill as well. Parked in Coverwood car park and headed west instead of East to include TuMPs of Pitch Hill and The Warren. Smashing 10.75 circular walk with a decent 600m of ascent.mntainman02/01/2015
