3/6 - Ascent from the South side is steep but straightforwardwychwood22/05/2023
long walk in via Loch a Bhraoin. A great way up onto east ridge via gap in crags, and easy walking to the top. Not so easy continuing Mullach CMF. But we found a way through. Probably easier approaching from the NW. Continued onto MT and Munro. Descent back into corrie from the bealach and long walk out in dark from bothy. With B and R.jenx02/12/2022
Shenavall, left at 6.15, past Achneigie up to Am Briseadh and over Sgurr Ban. Down steep gravely path to bealach and up very steep scree path to summit for 10.47. On over rest of Fisherfield Munros to Shenavall for 17.30. Then back to Corrie Hallie for 20.30.Flatfield30/08/2022

Solo round of six from wild camp near the Alder woods at around NH088788 - left the tent 5:30am straight into the most voracious cloud of midges I've ever encountered - headtorch on - fortunately the recent dry conditions had made the river easy to cross without taking boots off. Tough climb up the east side of Beinn a' Chlaidheimh, but above 500m, a light cool breeze kept the midges at bay (and me cool). That was definitely the toughest ascent of the day, but not the toughest part. The ascent up Sgurr Ban was fairly straight forward, the boulders were not terrible and the summit was soon reached (didn't even notice the shelter until I had passed it). At this point, the remaining summits were all covered in clag - but just as I descended to Cab Coire nan Clach bealach to head up the dusty path in the scree on Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair, the cloud cleared off. I bypassed Meall Garbh, and slowly headed up the grassy slops of Beinn Tarsuinn. Met a few other folk at the topmproudfoot04/09/2021

Round 2 with the Fisherfield Round. A mouse-y night in Shenavall with Smithy on the floor & an early start. Skipped Beinn a'Chlaidheimh (ascended the previous summer) & approached Sgurr Ban from the E which quickly turned into the equivalent of being baked in an oven as the sun reflected off the white rock. Continued over the peaks & tops. Smithy baled out at col below A'Mhaighdean & walked down the corrie. I continued over A'Mhaighdeam & Ruadh Stac Mor but failed to get a proper view due to the cloud now drifting around. Dropped down into the corrie slowly catching Smithy on the other side of the river. Boots off & forded the river, joined Smithy & we picked up the remaining gear from Shenavall, walked out to Dundonnell & drove back to Ullapool for beer & medals...NotReallyABagger06/06/2002

After camping at Loch Glascarnoch. With three friends. My car was positioned where A832 road crosses Dundonnell River. We left the road near Loch a’ Bhraoin at 06:35. We walked along path beside Loch a’ Braoin, passing Lochivraon bothy. Then to Bealch na Croise and col between Beinn Tarsuinn and Meall Garbh. Left rucksacks at the col and ascended to Beinn Tarsuinn and back. Skirted Meall Garbh on NW side and on to Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair. Continued to Sgùrr Bàn and Beinn a’ Chlaidheimh. Some argument about the best line to avoid cliffs. The lower slopes were very wet. Crossed Abhainn Loch an Nid to track. We followed the track to somewhere near Lochain Dubh where we struck cross-country to reach my car. The weather was good.pwbellarby15/08/1993

Alone. I departed from the Dundonnell road, going via Loch a’ Braoin to Sgurr Dubh, finding a way up the NE corner of Tom an Fhiodha. I reached the East Top of Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair and then the main top. The descent was just to the north of the East Top, descending more or less east to meet the path from Loch an Nid. It was dry, warm and clear. Sgurr Dubh and the East Top of Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair have recently been promoted to being Munro Tops. I had hoped that I would be able to complete all the Munro Tops by the time I made the ascent of Slioch, my final Munro, on 01/08/1987 so I did not make it then, but have now completed all the Munro Tops.pwbellarby10/08/1987
