Limited verge parking to north - NC 308567 - 2 cars only due to large boulders. Long boring walk in and grassy ascent Ceann Garbh. From Foinaven (and after A'Cheir Ghorm) descended from NC 3165 4969 - steep boulder field but stable, returning to outward route by Coire Duail (NC 330515)carole engel06/09/2023
With: hb; From Bealachan Easain Mhor wildcamp to Bealach Horn then An t-Sàil Mhòr, Stob Cadha na Beucaich, Sgùrr Cadha na Beucaich, A'Cheir Ghorm and Ganu Mòr, returning via a similar route.Ian Baines12/05/2023
Meall Horn and a traverse of Foinaven from just north of Achfary with John & Jon. Took the track and path from the car, to around 400m up then struck NE up to the Meall Horn summit area. Descended back down to below the crags above the track and countoured around to rejoin the track. Left the track at around 500m and then cross the wet moor and up the rocky terrain to An t-Sail Mhor. From there followed the ridge over to Ganu Mor and had lunch. Followed the ridge around to Ceann Garbh and then descended NW into the wetlands and back across to the A838 where a second car was parked. Amazing day under blue skies and a cool breeze - total time 8h 11minmproudfoot08/04/2023

From Gualin House, terrible cycling surface to river at Coire Duail. Poor terack up North river bank to loch, cross at outflow, south onto ridge and easily up from there. Mist closed in after summiting and filled the corries, very impressive.iangalbraith19/07/2022
Solo. Cycle from Gualin House for 7km up Glen Dionard. Left bike and climbed slaby and grassy slopes to Cnoc a Mhadaidh and the up steep rocky slopes over Ceann Garbh to Ganu Mor. Descent towards E and Cnoc Duail and down into Coirre Duail and back to bike.John Lee08/09/2021
Cycled from Gualin down to Glen Dionard then as far as Coire Duail, then round of Ganu Mor and Ceann Garbh.Topographer5723/07/2021
From tent well up Strath Dionard, continued up valley then headed up to Cadha na Beucaich, some awkward scree but then a good line between top edge of scree and the rockface Then north on a good ridge over A Cheir Ghorm, Ganu Mor and on to Ceann Garbh and down NE ridge - returning to previous col would have been better. A long day due in the main to working a way up the scree to Cadha na Beucaich.dickscroop15/08/2020

V steep ridge up, Fabulous wild views of the whole ridge, Arkle, Ben Hope, Handa etc. Bog on way back not too bad.douglas_easton30/05/2019

From just N of Gualin House, accessing hills via Strath Dionard track. Excellent slabs climbing Cnoc a'Mhadaidh, then steeply to Ceann Garbh, andf ridge to Ganu Mor and A'Cheir Ghorm, returning along the ridge (cloud covered as ascended, but partial clearance at one stage providing fantastic views). Descended by same route except bypassed Cnoc a'Mhadaidh to SE.RobertP07/07/2017

After Ceann Garbh, from Rhiconich. Down ene ridge (path) and back via the two 500s.RHW21/06/2016
Intended to walk in from Loch Arkle to enjoy the ridge and return the same way. On the main ridge near Lord Reay's seat I was tired, aggravated by the underfoot conditions and not enjoying it. I was thinking why bother going to the summit, just for a tick? The return walk didn't appeal and it seemed pointless continuing to the peak just to return. I could see a good moor track going around the N side of Arkle which was a 2000ft scree descent, probably do-able but not much fun. I decided to do the traverse and walked out North and finish 15 miles from my car. The rest of the ridge seemed better to me and the 3 mile trog across the moor at the end wasn't too bad. I got a lift back down the road quite easily with a delightful group of trawlermen. If you have the urge to walk Foinaven I think the only good way is the traverse.David Bell12/05/2016

Parked on A838 south of Loch Tarbhaidh and walked in to Creag na Claise Carnaich. Continued to summit and then descended into Coire Duail and walked out on the midge infested track in Srath Dionard. Mrs M found a bright red fleece and I found a highly eroded piece of pipe rock so a top day out all round.mindlessflogger19/08/2010
