Views from this hill are stunning. Finally the one that got away...a straight up and down from Rhigolter via the Cioch Mhor. Oh so steep!sarahk22/07/2023
With Cranstakie. Boulders galore.jef15/05/2023
29/10/2022 A day of good weather and fabulous views. Usual route from Carbreck, checking stalking had finished. Good path to the below the Corrie lip then a fairly easy walk across to the steep climb to the bealach. Quartz was greasy in ascent to Cranstackie but drier to Spionnaidh. With NP and JK. MT followed to Cranstackie.kenmorti29/10/2022
Sunny and dry with a light breeze, good for late October. Cracking views , from Point of Stoer, Lewis, Balnakeil, to Orkney and the Kyle of Tongue. Via Rhigolter Farm up rough Corrie to bealach. Two well situated peaks. With K,M, J.niallp29/10/2022
From Carbreck, to bealach and up Cranstackie. Back to bealach as mist and rain descended. Up south-east ridge to rocky plateau and on to summit. Tanya struggled a bit in the wind, very gusty. Returned to end of plateau by cairn and descended north-west to Cloch Mhor, then south-west to path out of Coire Calbhach.Flatfield20/06/2022
Solo. Cycle from Carbreck to Rhigolter. On foot to col and the top of Cranstackie, return to col and up to summit. High winds made the boulder field quite difficult to traverse. Descent via NW ridge to Cioch MhorJohn Lee07/09/2021
Bit of a boulder field but loved the views. Finished butties and soaked up some rays. Company: Soloiandesbottes29/09/2020

Not a brilliant day, a lot of it in the cloud which meant I lost the line coming down Cranstackie but ho harm done. On usual access track past the farm buildings and roughly followed the stream. Cut off south well before the bealach which was not a good idea as it meant a lot of untrodden boulder slope as I approached the top of Cranstackie (C); - stick to the bealach approach. Crossing over the bealach had a good sighting of a Golden Eagle before going up Beinn Spionnaidh (C). Even in cloud found my way easily to the NW ridge and down.dickscroop05/08/2019
Climbed with Richard on Elphin DMC trip. Bit windy start and overcast, but the weather improved as the day progressed. Off to Ullapool after for more Corbett baggingamcculloch16/06/2019

Self and Taffy, my 50th Corbett; with CranstackieInvicta1416/06/1994
Solo. From Carbreck. Walked along the track to Rhigoltir. Met an estate worker who I asked about stalking. He said my plans were OK. From Rhigolter I ascended the minor top WNW of Beinn Spionnaidh. Descended to the col and up the ridge to Beinn Spionnaidh. A short distance along the summit ridge was needed to reach the summit and trig point. The going was not easy due to large boulders with uncertain depth of snow, sometimes up to the knee or more. Views from the summit were very good. I descended to the col with Cranstackie where I met a man who was stalking. He asked me if I had seen a large stag, which I hadn’t. He expressed surprise at seeing me there – I explained I had asked. He said he was going to stop and that it was OK for me to continue to Cranstackie, which I did. The mist was now down and no views were had. Descended steeply to the valley of Allt Coire an Uinnseinn and headed straight for Polla (very boggy) where I crossed an extremely rickety bridge.pwbellarby16/10/1993
