Up from NE on circuit eventually Over lord Arthur's cairn then north to Correenvegibagger19/06/2023
Easy ascent and descent to Dubstan on way back from Lord Arthur's Hill.Minto05/12/2022
Along the track from Dubston above the Esset Burn to a track mapped as a path, starting W of the fenced off sitka plantation. Leads SE along the sitka fence below older trees to join a track heading SW up through trees (mapped start of this track near Dubston is blocked by new fence, so I missed it). Gate through new forestry fence. The track fades out above but easy to follow new, failed, shallow forestry trenches up hill along line of old grouse butts. Mapped track reappears higher up where it turns W below the hill. Up through trees from the high point to the top in a heathery clearing. NW down to the track, to revisit Lord Arthur's Hill, on to a gate, track continues towards Black Hill as mapped and an old short cut track avoids much of the mapped descent. Right onto a surfaced track, then join another track all the way to the big cairn on LA Hill. Back down Fouchie Shank, from where the forestry fence and trenches look hideous in an otherwise lovely viewGill03/08/2020
We parked at the entrance to Dubston and set off on a counter clockwise circuit of the Correen Hills. The path to Clova Hill is delightful, passing an old quarry en route, and only leaving the path for the last couple of hundred metres to the trig. A grassy path continues around Badingair Hill then SW on to Brux Hill and Edinbanchory Hill before a sharp turn eastwards up to Lord Arthur's Hill. An ATV track leads to Black Hill then a short section over heather joins another track to a brand new deer and rabbit fence skirting Manabattock. Fortunately there is a gate at the end of this track, allowing access over heather and through open woodland to a small stone summit cairn. Made it back to Dubston by following the deer fence northwards. About 3.5 hrs to do the whole circuit.summitter13/10/2019
