A great circuit from the Fear-loch of the Cioch, Beinn an Eoin, Sgorr Deas and Sgorr Tuath, much of it on reasonable deer tracks. | sclater | 09/09/2023 |
Clockwise round of Coire Beinn an Eoin from road to the east. | davidpettit84 | 01/06/2023 |
Parked on road in a wide area at 138068. Walked SE until we could see gate in deer fence. Managed to get across the burn at 133064. Fairly wet underfoot as we traversed to the ridge. With CM. Great views. For us two oldies the whole ridge took about 5.5 hours. | bolton | 16/09/2022 |
Route as in SMC Graham book. Went to the end of the ridge & the cairn on Cioch Beinn an Eoin (374m) on the way up. Fabulous hill! Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 31/08/2022 |
Clockwise circuit of Beinn and Eoin and Sgorr Tuath. | daviemore | 18/07/2022 |
Lovely sunny walk with Rhona, Heather and Struie. Came up from the south ridge and then down via Altt Coire Beinn an Eoin | DampandDusty | 01/05/2022 |
One hill only. Similar to Campbell, from 5 car inshot just north west of 113 point. Due west through deer gate, straight onto small hill in front, follow ridge to tributary/tiny waterfall, then take path west through trees to Allt Claonaidh, path up east bank to plateau, good deer track up to belaich between Chioch and Eoin. | iangalbraith | 21/03/2022 |

Clockwise circuit of Beinn and Eoin and Sgorr Tuath from Feur-loch. | vuirich | 02/09/2021 |
Parked NC 1373 0695 in large passing place. Path starts from layby just before bridge if travelling west - NC 13930 06715. Even with GR its hard to find and goes thru' gorse - look for KG below. Down to this but ignore and turn right along deer fence to FB. After crossing climb deer fence. Right and shortly left. If loose path (probably a deer trod) aim for NC 1370 0661 and then NC 1307 0599 where path becomes more obvious - up south side Allt Claonaidh. Leave this to cross rough ground to summit at head of stream NC 120057 approx. | carole engel | 01/09/2021 |
From passing place (I was dropped off) on minor road at NC139067, followed track across stream and on to Allt Claonaidh, crossed without any difficulty (dry weather) then continued up slope to bealach on Cioch Beinn an Eoin (NC118063), and along ridge to Beinn Eoin summit, continuing to Sgorr Deas, descended roughly E, passed W of lochan and ascended SW ridge of Sgorr Tuath, and along main spine to summit, descended S at first, then SE around the E end of Cioch Beinn an Eoin, back to All Claonaidh and on to the road | kdbennett | 21/08/2020 |
A rough and very wet approach but worth it for the views from the ridge. | Peterb | 20/09/2019 |
From road at SE end of Loch Lurgainn, circuit then included Sgorr Tuath. | IanHHill | 15/07/2019 |
Path from road better than expected (but would be boggy if it had been wet). Straightforward access / ascent. | willyross | 22/04/2019 |
A late start to miss the worst of the wind in the forecast. Found room to get off the road and the passing place by the bridge. no problems except picked a far too steep line up Cioch Beinn an Eoin. came down by a much better line further west. in poor weather and with a late start just did the main top. | dickscroop | 05/04/2019 |
With: hb; From roadside CP, used access gate & crossed to Feur Loch then up Allt Claonaidh for 0.5km before slanting to bealach SW of the Cioch. Followed ridge to Beinn an Eoin over Sgorr Deas & down to lochans. | Ian Baines | 02/06/2018 |

Fantastic circuit of the Coigach peaks from parking area near Culnacraig in bright sunny conditions, breezy. Speicein nan Garbh-choireachan, Ben More Coigach, Speicein Coinnich, Beinn Tarsuinn, steep descent then climb and traverse to Sgorr Tuath, Beinn an Eoin, Sgurr an Fhidhleir, Beinn nan Caorach North Top (camped overnight), Beinn nan Caorach, Conmheall. | RobertP | 26/05/2018 |
From Ben More Coigach. The gully down to Lochan Tuath below Sgurr an Fhidleir was straightforward with great views to the cliffs and around the valley. No problems getting across the loch outlet or over the deer fence (there is a pseudo stile about 200 metres from the Lochan Tuath outlet). Slog up and down Beinn an Eoin was tough. The ravine below (west of) point 525 looked impassable, so it was up through steep heather and shuffling over and around large rock outcrops. Slow going. | Owen B | 28/09/2017 |
Allt Claonaidh difficult to cross after a lot of rain in the last month! Quite a tricky walk in but an interesting hill. | twg27 | 08/09/2017 |
With Peter Cottam, taking in Sgorr Tuath. Allt Claonaidh in spate. Followed S side until just after the fork at 220m, then N to ridge. | Galltywenallt | 23/08/2017 |
From the small car park at 113, across tussocks ground and then on to rough path on s side of Allt Claonaidh. Easy to cross after dry month and took rising traverse onto main east ridge. Great summit views. | Campbell Singer | 16/05/2017 |
Did not choose a good day for this one. Clag! | NormanW | 13/05/2017 |
At last a chance to climb this hill on a good day. Parking not easy as previously reported but squeezed in by the bridge. The river was low, stepping stones and path up the burn to high point then up to ridge. Full circuit of all tops on a sparkling day. | nordicstar | 20/08/2016 |

From bridge at SE end of Loch Lurgainn. Path starts about 100m E of bridge leads to swing gate through a deer fence. Continued across river and east side of the fence then up through thick vegatation to Cioch. Thereafter much easier. Rain set in on the way back. | Topographer57 | 08/08/2013 |
Solo. From about the 113m point on the road to Achiltibuie. I thought this would be a good place to start as there might be difficulty crossing the burn flowing into Loch Lurgainn. Found a faint path with some indication of use so followed this. It went SW before swinging NW. It was rather wet. I wanted to go up beside Allt Claonaidh and was surprised to find a path there. This was not marked on my map and had much more evidence of use. Crossing of Allt Claonaidh looked difficult, but I found it possible to cross both branches above the point where two branches of the burn join. Went up to col between Cioch Beinn an Eoin & Beinn an Eoin and so to the summit. Retraced my steps but continued on path beside Allt Claonaidh to reach road. Where the path crossed the burn flowing into Loch Lurgainn boulders had been placed in the bed of the burn so there was no difficulty in crossing the burn. The path met the road at a passing place although start of the path is not very obvious. | pwbellarby | 30/07/2013 |

Park near grit stone dump. Around swampy lake to climb deer fence blocking the way across nasty area of replanting with square holes, soil piles, rocks, hidden boulders streamlets, the lot. Made for prow of ridge and nice walk around the corrie on sandstone slabs to top at 13.50. My 1,000th Scottish hill. to Tuath | arranc | 15/06/2007 |
