Great day on the hill in wonderful weather. Into Coruisk on the Bella Jane with fellow members of the Relative Hills Society. Over the stepping stones and path followed round the loch before taking to the hill. Fantastic views today.Crumblie230/05/2023
An informal boat trip to Coruisk with RHSoc friends.Minto30/05/2023
Boat from Elgol to Loch Coruisk with RHSoc members and assorted tourists. Lovely walk up to the summit with Dave G, Jill, Tony & Minto. Visited high points on both summits. Headed off to the North Top with Minto, Tony & Dave. Glorious sunny weather, clear skies and fantastic views.Dangerous Dave30/05/2023
From the B8083 CP along the access track to Camasunary. Plenty of stepping stones over the burn so nice dry feet to ascend Sgurr na Stri ... directly up to the S flank from where a narrowing gully affords a good clamber amongst the rock to just S of the summit(s). Once bagged it was a northwards descent to the North Top and along to Sgurr Hain then Creag na Creitheach. A direct drop eastwards into Strath na Creitheach to pick up the trekkers path back to Camasunary, taking in An t-Sron and her SW Top en route. Took a leisurely 7 hours in total back to the camper van.summitter25/05/2023
From Kirkibost to SE - would say track too rough to bike. River crossing no problem Camasunary. Round southern end mountain and up dry, rocky, stream, gully NG 50089 18796 - steep but no scrambling. Easy walking to N top (probably path coming in from Slighachan) and descent from NG 49992 20203 down excellent deer trod. Continued to river, leaving it at NG 5072 1940. Great walkcarole engel22/05/2023
Only made cairn on West top (old summit) Schoolboy error. On own.MorecambeMonkey17/05/2023
From Loch Slapin/Kilmarie over to Camansury via track, wade of river then up the south ridge/gully/buttress. Steep and various piece of plane. Both cairns visited, clearing at top. Return same way.N.Morters14/05/2022
From Sligachan; glad I didn't waste money on a boat trip and diesel given the desperately inaccurate forecast. The path is still good to Allt na Measarroch and still stony below Marsco. Stone pitched path and new surfacing up to the bealach below Sgurr Hain. Heavy rain made the traverse path a shitty swamp punctuated by slippery rocks; cold, strong wind, mist on the higher hills, so views not as good as advertised. The path up the valley between the 2 summits is drier and better, blocked by boulders at one point. Up to the high point, then up a sloping scree covered shelf to the top. Nice view of Small Isles and Camasunary, everything else in cloud, very cold. Rain stopped on the way back, so the rocks were nice and grippy. Apart from the traverse path, it's an easy walk with quick going. I still maintain that Ruadh Stac is the best all round view point for the Cuillin.Gill05/10/2021
9am Misty Isles Boat trip. Followed path over Scavaig river (didn't manage dry feet after quite a bit of rain) and up to junction with Sligachan path then along the traversing path around Sgurr Hain and up the valley between the 2 summits. Climbed the non summit first (which is definitely the better of the 2 for views) and then the summit for completeness. Path very muddy most of the way and therefore probably took longer then normal. 4.30pm boat back. 7 miles 4hrs walking time, according to Strava, although we were out quite a bit longer than that.JulieB16/09/2020
Misty Isles boat from Elgol at 11.00 with Mrs M. Path round the end of Loch Coruisk and up to the monument and then the north top. Visited each high point - 5 or 6. Clear and bright day. Well worth waiting for! Boat at 4.30 for Elgol.bolton02/10/2019
Bella Jane rib from Elgol. To the real summit first then the adjacent West top. Descended over the North Top and visited the monument on the way back to the boat.NormanW17/09/2019

2 of 2: From Ruadh Stac. Very warm calm day. Karen returned to Sligachan after lunch at the first ridge. Views excellent.ChrisR03/08/2019
On AC meet at Coriusk (and before!) HardenC22/05/2019
Via Elgol and Misty Isle boat to Coruisk. North ridge becomes steep and craggy higher up and the summit is detached by an awkward drop. Allow plenty of time when booking boat places. Perfect viewpoint for Black Cuillin ridge.Topographer5725/05/2018
Fearsomely high winds on this 48th and final Marilyn on Skye after a six week stint in May June July and 248th Skye TuMP Bumped into Adam (17) and Hamish (18) both from Uig on the summit so they provided instant flash mob for a selfie on the summit. Big Cairn on NW summit seemed lower than SE summit. This was borne out by my GPS status app on my phone.vegibagger16/07/2017
M and O. By boat from Elgol. Climbed up from the N. Fabulous views to the Black Cuillin. Descended to the E to Camusunary and track back to Elgol - with one or two diversions to avoid cattle with the dog.Martin6628/06/2017
from Loch Coruisk on Mary Dounedavidsbatty31/05/2017
Boat from Elgol with Steve Smith. Steep scrambly route up the NW face. 3 prospective tops but seems to be settled on the SE point, which does seem the most likely to the Mk.1 Eyeball. On to the N Top and Sgurr Hain.jonglew06/05/2017
A great Cuillin top. And good views all about.jenx15/05/2016
Walk in from Sligachan with Jenx. Good track, fast approach and simple climb up NW ridge. Down and onto track to Sgurr na Sri. Both tops collected. Long walk back. Round trip in Eight hours and 15 mins.nordicstar15/05/2016
Can't be many better Marilyns! Spectacular views down to Loch Coruisk. Despite being August, we got hit by a couple of wintry showers! Came in from the east. Track/path to Camusunary, boots off to cross river, then up to summit. Descent on steep wet eastern slopes was a bit tricky.AndrewFinnimore23/08/2014

Sole passenger on a Misty Isle boat to Coruisk and fun scramble up the west side to visit both tops and back down the voie normale in time for the next (full) boat back. My last region 17 Marilyn - yippee ki-yie, Marilyn-bagger.Martin R13/09/2013

Parked at Kilmarie on the Elgol road. Good access to Camasunary. The start of the path was indicated by an unsightly white arrow painted on a wall. Set off over the low river dry shod and steeply up on deer grass into the large corrie to N of Loch Creitheach. With GPS easily over dry moor and found path on top of a ridge for 1/2 mile to a large cairn. RP ahead. Several cross gullies in increasingly boulder terrain made going very slow. To west top at 13.30 for lunch. Tricky drop down to gully and up on a stony ledge to E top at 14.00. Aerial view of Camasunary below. Loch Coruisk end on (from W peak), boat in from Elgol, Eigg, Rum, Black Cuillin from G Bheinn to Inn Pinn looking almost phallic from this angle, Marsco, R Stac, G Bheinn, Blaven and mainland peaks in full array but dull. Large cairn built on highest boulder. 8 hrs. to car.arranc19/05/2008
Walked through Glen Sligachan to ascend. Brilliant weather and views. Only the ravens near the summit disturbed the peace.JohnW16/04/2008
Sail into Loch Scavaig basin, staying at Memorial hut - first day out over bad step and scramble up Sgurr na Sri. Down Northern flank back to hut. Fantastic viewpoint.nordicstar12/04/2003

Boat from Elgol to Loch Coruisk and walked back over Sgurr na Stri. My first sighting of a golden eagle and wonderful views towards the Cuillin ridge. With Richard, Cathy opting for the coastal return route.richard6911/07/1979
Visited both summits. June 2007, I think. Direct route from the Stepping Stones. Indirect return to the boat for Elgol.summitsupblank
