Summit area now felled and going tough...Tricky29/12/2023
From King’s Seat, Andrew Gannel, Tarmangie and whitewisp Hills. Steep descent from Whitewisp and then up side of plantation. Found good bike track fro nine of top. Bike tracks on descent. Quite slippy resulting in two falls.Campbell Singer17/07/2023
From the Law Hill car park via the forestry tracks.Left track NE of the summit. Brash near the top not too bad.hillsman26/01/2023
Round of hills from centre of Dollar by Dollar Burn. Walked up road on E side of Dollar Burn then track above Burn of Care. Then picked route through felled forestry up SW ridge of Hillfoot Hill. Descended W through felled area then steep area between older trees and young forestry. Took a steep and direct route to reach summit of Whitewisp Hill. Easy continuation to Tarmangie Hill, Cairnmorris Hill, Stythorn Hill and Andrew Gannel Hill. Descended E to beallach, then climbed outlier Elistoun Hill before returning to beallach and climbing King's Seat Hill. Descent ESE along ridge and then interesting path by Dollar Burn. Mixture of sunshine and rain.RobertP14/10/2022
From the Law Hill carpark and up the logging road. The summit has now been clear felled so straight up the south ridge without complication.fasgadh08/04/2022
With L&R. Via tracks and paths from Castlehill Reservoir in Glendevon. Approached summit from NE heading up line between trees to a clearing near messy camp. Continued on GPS to indistinct summit area. Visited Commonedge Hill on way back.Janet M14/03/2021
Been up a few times now, this was a good walk In the snow (bit icy under foot)Cookie149803/01/2021
The forestry road circles the hill and I approached from the North along wide gaps in the trees. Saw the grotty camp on the way down.NormanW13/10/2020
Easy ascent through the trees from the forestry track at 971008. Precise summit unclear, but it appears to be somewhere between the OS 442m spot height an unsightly and untidy campsite at the upper end of a clearing north of the spot.TRG31822/05/2020
Walked up from Dollar via the Hillfoot road and followed forest road nearly to the NE summit, then up the grain of the well spaced trees to various possible summits complicated by some windthrow. There is a camping settlement near the summit. In 2 years it will be bare when all the remaining trees have been felled. On to Law Hill.Thearlaichdubh10/09/2019
From the usual carpark and up the forest track (red route) until pretty much due north of the summit, where a 200m line through the closed canopy got me to the top pretty easily.summitter31/08/2019
From Castlehill CP via zigzag track across the flank of Auchlinsky Hill. The summit of Commonedge Hill is startling airy as the path leaves the trees, and the view to the shark's fin of North Berwick Law and across the Forth and Fife is outstanding. A track leads through a gate into the forestry at Hillfoot Hill. After playing forestry snakes and ladders - diverting around fallen trees and diving along clear avenues between tree rows - I came upon a strip of grass. At its upper end is the summit, occupied by a series of camouflage screens made from branches and brushwood and, inside them, a blue tarp shelter. An unexpected find.Nick Down125/06/2018
From CW CP, tracks to NE of summit, then over from NE to SW down to track west of summit. Summit location impossible to pinpoint among fallen trees. Broken inversion cloud over Devon valley.Topographer5702/12/2017
From the cp track then up through trees.robertphillips28/02/2017
Done after Commonedge Hill. A wee bit difficult!Play2End04/08/2016
From CP S of Gloom Hill - up road-round back of cottage-path to forest track-then as Minto.chrisbien13/09/2015
From community woodlands car park on Hillfoots Rd. Path and track to col to NE. Then easily up through mature trees to flat summit area. Hard to tell exactly where summit is located.Minto05/04/2015
453m gps, mature spruce, flat summit, highpoint unclear. RHW25/06/2011
