Logged Descriptions  (logged by 41 users)ByDate of Ascent
Same parking as others. Cows in field so down road to feed hoppers and up by burn through plantation to top. New deer fence also has chicken wire so a bit tricky but manageable. River Forth views.NormanW25/08/2023
From layby P @ NN 8216 0051. Reaching the highest ground, being on the S side of the fence, now has the challenge of surmounting what is now a deer fence (no gates in sight). So, not as straightforward as experienced by Nick Down1.summitsup23/04/2023
Bridge of Allan-Knock Hill trig-Gallow Hill-David Stirling Hill-Dunblane Roman Camps-Brown Hill (up from track to the north, then contoured along break at around 400m below 453m summit to reach col to NNE of Brown Hill summit; descent to west)-Stone Hill-Black Hill-Bridge of Allancampagvelocet14/02/2023
Directly from Stone Hill through gap in intervening plantation to give 194m ascent. Returned to pt237 and on to Black Hill.lordtonult13/10/2022
CW route from Menstrie with Myreton Hill.bjewing27/03/2021
From the layby near pt 249 on the Sheriffmuir road. A straightforward amble to the summit, rewarded with a surprise view of the Forth between Dumyat and Myreton Hill.Nick Down113/11/2020
From the Sheriffmuir roadhillsman21/10/2019
parked near pt 249m easy enough going on frozen ground today.robertphillips11/01/2018
From Sheriffmuir to reservoir then onto hillside. Return via Loss Hill.neimcv27/10/2017
From the minor road then a track to the small reservoir. Easy going then up the slope to the summit which is the 419m spot height if you are ever there in fog or darkness!Play2End23/11/2016
Probably same route as C.B. but couldn't see much as it was dark, or rather moonlit. Easy going up first field to height of trees. A bit rougher afterwards. Fine cold, clear dry evening, with Emma & Rona. 1hr round trip.Minto24/02/2016
P space at NN 82150 00441. Gate by trees - diagonally up to next gate then assorted tracks and trods up and down.chrisbien23/01/2016
Ochils training run, Dumyat, Loss Hill, Big Hunt Hill, Colsnaur Hill and Myreton Hill.Eddie06/10/2002
