Quite arduous day circuit from Tomsleibhe also including the three Highland Fives to the SE. | Alex C | 23/03/2023 |
With Malky in very low temps (-7 back at van) with soft snow from about 250m up, after a night in the bothy. Easy up from Tomsleibhe, but a difficult bash through to Beinn Bhuidhe afterwards. | Rounsfell | 12/12/2022 |
A beautiful frosty autumn day. From Glenforsa, through the gate after Kilbeg and up to Beinn nan Lus, a quad track helps get through the shite ground below, then good going towards the top and to Beinn Bhuidhe. To Beinn na Duatharach, sheep tracks help through the tussocky descent to the bealach but mainly go in random directions. The bealach is vile and tussocky. The face ahead is steep and nasty looking, so contoured up W of and below obvious crag, steep, tussocky, hard going. Emerges on flatter ground approx. 598365, then across boggy stuff to N end of summit ridge, which is easy and pleasant; superb viewpoint. Nice descent traversing mossy grass across Liath Doire, joins quad track until it goes off into the wild blue yonder, then shite down to the sheep pasture and the Glen Forsa track. Stunning views on the way down too. My last Mull Marilyn. | Gill | 22/11/2022 |
From Beinn Bhuide up the steep but straightforward west end of the north slope. Nice rocky approach, great viewpoint watched by a pair of eagles. Down via Bothy and track. | N.Morters | 13/03/2020 |
From Tomsleibhe Bothy - steep grass and bog. | Chris Peart | 04/11/2019 |
Cycled up Glen Forsa to gap between forests at 616377, then NE ridge. Summit area is shapely and craggy but there is no compulsory scrambling. | Topographer57 | 21/09/2019 |
Walk on hills W side of Glen Forsa. Walked along glen, climbed Beinn na Duatharach then returned N over tops. | RobertP | 03/05/2019 |
At last - a Mull Marilyn without bracken ! Cycled up Glen Forsa. Superb 360 views from the summit - a real gem. | NormanW | 14/07/2018 |
Via Glen Forsa and the NE ridge | davidpettit84 | 30/12/2016 |
A good track for cycling. Looks like a nice bothy. A bit boggy in places from there. | jenx | 23/08/2016 |
With Danu & Alfie. | Dangerous Dave | 09/11/2014 |
From Gruline along track then intermittent path by loch and up to summit. Bit of a slog to be honest, Glen Forsa probably the better option. | AndrewFinnimore | 19/06/2014 |
Wet with Jim Bloomer. | Dugswell2 | 09/05/2013 |
from Corra-bheinn. The grippiest of grippy Gabbro scrambling can be found on the top. Great views of all the hills climbed today and out across Loch Ba | raffemeister | 21/10/2012 |
Cycled easily from little car park about 150 metres up the Glen Forsa road to NM616378. It would be silly not to use a bike. Had quick look in bothy and then up the hill in sun and hail. Proper rocky summit with great all round views. | Martin R | 24/04/2012 |
Interesting gabbro summit. Ascent from Glen Forsa. | fasgadh | 10/04/2011 |
From B8305 at Knock | Alan Moore | 24/02/2009 |
Parked at Glen Forsa Hotel. Talaidh straight ahead and RP came into view after a mile. Access road straight and level. Off track making for broad grass covered nose of hill. On gaining top of dome, true top was 1/2 mile further over a 200' drop. 12.30. Talaidh, Choireadail, C Bheinn, Mheadhoin, C Dearg and Bhuidhe. | arranc | 16/08/2007 |
Up and down from Tomsleibhe bothy. | Eddie | 16/04/2005 |
