Craiglee Trail from Loch Doon Castle CP to Wee Hill of Craigmulloch and intermittent path over to Craiglee.summitter07/06/2023
An absolute cracker and worth saving for a fine day. Parked in the deep lay-by 200 yards S of Craigmulloch toll house, walked back along the road to the pleasant, grassy marked path from near the castle to the Wee Hill. Then a descent through heather to an intermittent path across the col and up Craiglee. Returned the same way, apart from taking the traverse path close in to the southern slopes of the Wee Hill.Nick Down126/05/2023

From Loch Doon castle up waymark path to Wee Hill of Craigmulloch then across to Craiglee on vague path. Returned to WHofC but took trail to upper car park to check access for Hoodens Hill (forest drive is closed but road is open to first cp on drive).SS17/08/2022
Not what it says on the tin. Good FP starts at FC SP ‘Craiglea Trail’ from parking at Loch Doon Castle (NX483949). There are no more waymarkers until the well-worn path deposits one just before the summit – of Wee Hill of Craigmulloch. An intermittent path leads down to the waterlogged bealach, then a classic grassy moorland path up to Craiglee. In descent, from the col, there is a tiny path goes off SE, tight under the SW flank of the Wee Hill – find it or weep as you’ll otherwise be in terrible tussock terrain – it emerges back on the main tk up the Wee Hill (you’d never spot it on the way up)Isbjorn15/05/2022
2 of 3: After Brown Carrick Hill we drove to Loch Doon. VERY busy. LOTS of wild campers. From the castle CP on the way to and from Craiglee. Very hot and sunny. With Karen.ChrisR24/07/2021

Climbed up a good path from the car park and castle at the roadside (castle was moved from the centre of Loch Doon. Easy climb some burning to the heather on top for grouse?Waylander12/07/2019
As others, parked at the Loch Doon Castle Car Park & up well-used Craiglee Trail which takes a fairly direct line to the summit cairn on Wee Hill. From Wee Hill, along faint, intermittent path over fire-damaged terrain to the summit rock & trig point on Craiglee. Same route back to car. (S)gerrybowes18/06/2019
Up the Craiglee track from Loch Doon Castle. Must have done it before when did Craiglee. SE face badly burned in recent wildfire.Thearlaichdubh26/05/2019
Hot sunny day.George Thompson18/07/2017
1st hill of 12 on a circuit from Loch Doon. As others, parked in car park near re-erected Castle and followed path up in beautiful sunshine. Nearer the top the path becomes less evident so just climbed directly up. Great views, continued on to Craiglee.Dazingdale08/05/2017
Missed this on last visit (no path then), so made up for that today. An easy stroll to finish the dayColin Crawford04/05/2017
From the car park at Loch Doon Castle. Fairly straightforward path before heading to Craiglee. Solo.bolton01/05/2017

P near castle. Good path most of the way up but got fainter towards the top. Some low cloud but no rain!chrisbien11/06/2016
A good viewpoint reached from a pleasant path- the most obvious from Loch Doon Castle. The sort of place sensible ramblers visit. Like most users of this site, I was heading for the Ma, Craiglee (qv), as the main objective. The Wee hill made it into a pleasant 4 h walk.pwheeler13/05/2016

A quick walk with Shaky from near Craigmulloch up the gap in the trees & on to Wee Hill Of Craigmulloch. Wandered over to the summit of Craiglee. Extended the walk by heading SW to pass Ballochling Loch & following the forest edge all the way down to Loch Riecawr before heading back E along the Forest Drive to the start.NotReallyABagger27/12/2007
