From Lochbuie to the chapel by bike. Over stile then up stalkers path onto plateau then on to summit.Winterfloodian03/05/2022
From Maol Ban.. further than it looks, weary tussocks.N.Morters21/01/2022
from Lochbuie along footpath to chapel, then over ladder stile and up rounded slope behind it, picking up stalker path up to plateau, then various tracks heading slightly left up to reach summit.PaulineD18/08/2021
With Pauil from Lochbuie, out and back. Very windy and sudden intense showers. Rounsfell03/09/2020
A very good walk despite poor weather. Nice stroll around the coast to the chapel, over the stile, then keep heading left along the wall to a water pipe and tank where you'll see the line of the path heading up the hill. A bit hard to follow in places because overgrown but, if you lose it, you're soon back on it, it's a very logical line. Comes out on Maol na Luachrach and crosses a flat area to the base of a rocky knoll which is a great pointy landmark for the return. Followed the wide ridge, crossed the stream, headed towards Creag Sgoilte (a large crag, obvious landmark in mist), easy way up next to it, then strolled up to the trig. Going not too bad, except for some areas of pesky tussocks.Gill15/07/2020
From the church at Lochbuie. Around shore to old chapel, then up on sheep and deer tracks. Summit now adorned with a rock and a couple of stones.PGCE21/02/2020
Parked at The Old Post Office Tea Hut, looking rather derelict - round the bay to the chapel - straight up behind picking up sheep and deer tracks all the way to the summit. A pleasant walk.Chris Peart16/11/2019
From parking at Lochbuie by the tearoom. Over the stile at the chapel then found difficulty locating a path but found it further up. Wonderful weather so the views were superb.NormanW08/08/2019
Dropped at t-junction to climb Maol Ban and Druim Fada in atrocious weather and even worse visibility. Welcome honesty tearoom and shop at Lochbuie.lordtonult08/05/2018

Lovely Lochbuie! Used the bikes around the bay then up from near the chapel. Beautiful day.jenx25/08/2016
With Maol Ban anti clockwiae from Barachandroman. Spectacular wilderness walk, no paths but not too bad underfoot. Great views across Firth of Lorne and plenty of eagles seen.AndrewFinnimore10/05/2016
Wonderful windswept hill from the Lochbuie carpark. brilliant style behind the chapel/mausoleum across the bay, then follow the well trodden sheep tracks upwards. On the way down make sure you keep W as the slopes of Maoll a Bhann are very unpleasant. Look at both the chapel and Moy Cstle. Refreshments are available in the hut in the carparkThearlaichdubh04/05/2016
With SG. A stalkers path starts climbing the hill well left from the stile. Chapel well worth popping in.Smudge02/06/2015
Foul day from the onset. It did clear up a bit for a few hours, found a stalkers path from the chapel which made it easytallblond01/06/2015
Drove up as far as Laggan Lodge, then set off up pony tracks directly up the hillside into mist and light drizzle. From here, GPS navigation was required to reach summit. Returned in heavy rain.Topographer5703/05/2013
A great walk for a bad weather day with Jim Bloomer.Dugswell202/05/2013

Cycled from Lochbuie car park following the plentiful signs for Laggan sands to the chapel at NM 627236 Nearby there is a rusty metal stile over the deer fence. From there is a choice of routes depending on your mood and whimsy. Nice views from the VanessMartin R22/04/2012

Revisit. Fine summit and view. Combined with Maol Ban. Descended ENE on a rough beeline, tussocky.RHW21/03/2008
Parked at stone circle car park at Lochbuie. To sea shore over iron deer fence stile and steeply up through bracken onto grass. Midges. Deer tracks led steeply up to a large area of open swamp, On gaining horizon found that top was 3/4 further est. Compass still unreliable. To top at 14.05. 2 grass snakes. Full refund on US GPS in Tobermory.arranc02/09/2006
