Round from Balmenoch - Meall a' Choire Leith - Meall Corranaich - Ben Lawers - Creag an Fhithich - An Stuc - Meall Garbh - Creag Roro spot height (not on any lists) - Balmenoch. Will come back for Beinn Ghlas, aborted due to wind/snow/low visibility. | screeleep | 11/04/2023 |
Parked in the lay-by about 1/4 mile east of the hydro track. Followed the hydro to the small dam. From there headed up to the col between Meall Garbh and Meall Greigh. I did an out and back to the summit of Meall Greigh. It was a bit boggy and the summit was in the clag. Then up Meall Garbh to the summit cairn again in mist and quite windy although it was dry. I was slightly wary of the ascent up An Stuc but it was very easy. The hardest part was the descent to the Lochan as with all the rain it was extremely slippery so had to take it steady. In dry conditions it would not have been a problem. Path from Lochan to the small dam at the end of the hydro was very boggy. Time 7 hours 15 minutes for 17 miles. | isabelle | 25/10/2022 |
Meall Greigh & Meall Garbh from Lawers village, with SHC. Nice day once the wind subsided. | TRG318 | 16/10/2022 |

A trio of munros, Meall Greigh, Meall Garbh and An Stuc. Parked for free at Tombreck and walked up the pipeline track before completing the standard loop. Clear summits and very scenic walking throughout. Solo. | meltdiceburg | 24/08/2022 |

Solo anti-clockwise round of Meall Greigh, Meall Garbh and An Stùc (how is that last one even a munro?) from Lawers Hotel. Arrived at the hotel early and popped the fee into the box, then set off down the road. The route up from the bone carver up through the forest and then up beside Lawers burn was quite pleasant, and a good warm up for the ascent up Sròn Mhòr and onto Meall Greigh. Took some sunrise photos and moved onto Meall Garbh - the re-ascent was fairly short - passed someone in a bivvy on the summit. Ascent up An Stuc wasn't as bad as it appeared - barely needed to use my hands, and the descent down the lochan also fine. Got back to the car a sweaty mess, but quite satisfied - total time 5h 17min | mproudfoot | 11/07/2022 |
From Meall Greigh following the obvious path to the summit. | JAdair97 | 28/05/2022 |

From Ben Lawers NTS CP. Anticlockwise circuit of the Ben Lawers ridge. Heading for Meall Greigh was a slog until picking up the good track at the dam at NN6421 3795. | welshyboyo | 27/03/2022 |
From Ben Lawers Hotel with Meall Greigh, An Stuc & Creag an Fhithich | PDuncan82 | 03/09/2021 |
Parked at The Silage Pit at Ben Lawers Farm (not as bad as it sounds): £5 fee in honesty box. Up track beside Horn Carver, pleasant path to dam, off-piste north to ridge and along to Meall Garbh. Followed path along to An Stuc and Creag an Fhithich. Back to bealach and returned via south side of Lochan nan Cat to dam and ascent route. | TRG318 | 01/09/2021 |
Start of track near Carie - track to 550m contour - slopes of Beinn Ghlas then S ridge - Beinn Ghlas - Ben Lawers - Creag an Fhithich - An Stuc - Meall Garbh - Meall Greigh - SW to dam - track - Meall Odhar - track back to Carie. | Mark Jackson | 12/08/2021 |
7 munros of Ben Lawers range. Started at Lochan na Lairige, ended at Ben Lawers hotel | hummusg | 17/06/2021 |
A fine traverse of the Ben Lawers ridge from west to east, starting from the NTS car park. Visited Beinn Ghlas, Ben Lawers, Creag an Fhithich, An Stuc, Meall Garbh, and Meall Greigh. As I was solo with just the one vehicle, I had to return along the access road for the water intakes and then traverse across open country under Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas. 25km with 1600m of ascent in 9 hours. Climbed with Meall Greigh (1001m) accessed from the Ben Lawers Hotel. I tend to avoid hiking on my own in snow, so this was a good confidence builder, the snow has been through for at least two week, but there obviously been a lot of fresh stuff yesterday / last night as it was mainly still soft which the gaiters made easy work of. Dry with great views all day, with some high level cloud, 06:50hrs all in. | chillyman8 | 10/11/2019 |
Beautiful day on the hills. Nice little round of 5 starting at meal greigh and finishing with beinn ghlas. Definitely ones to return to | Nicky C | 28/09/2019 |
Meall Greigh, Meall Garbh and An Stuc. Parked at The Ben Lawers Hotel (£5 unless you buy a meal). Fantastic clear views at Meall Greigh but by the time I'd got to Meall Garbh it was cloudy and drizzly. Bit of a scramble up to An Stuc. It was still wet and cloudy by the time I got to Bealach Dubh so decided not to carry on to Ben Lawers. By the time I got down to Lochan nan Cat (down a very steep path) it was all clear up the top. 8 hours in total. | tsharp | 16/09/2019 |

SMHC sunday walk with Alan & Lyndsay Munro & Emma Watson. Just over 11 miles for the circuit. The summits were mostly in cloud when we got to them but we did have views of every summit at some point during the day. Nice easy walk to the summit plateau of Meall Garbh, but locating the actual summit proved a bit more difficult. If in doubt take a photo at every cairn. | LizzieG | 18/09/2016 |

From the start of a forest track to the east of Lawers village. Solo. I went up a zig-zag forest track on the SE side of Meall Greigh. Felling was taking place, but no work was in progress as I passed. I left the forest and made the final approach to reach the summit of Meall Greigh from the NE. There was much lying snow. Continued with some mist to Meall Garbh. Spent some time in the vicinity to ensure I had actually reached the summit. Partially retraced my steps before descending to the Shielings near the Lawers Burn and going over a broad low col. A dry day with some good views when out of the mist. | pwbellarby | 13/02/1999 |

With a friend. We left my car at NTS Visitor Centre on Ben Lawers and went in the other car to Lawers village. Walked up the path on the east and NE side of Lawers Burn. Climbed steeply up the SSE ridge of Meall Garbh. The summit ridge is a small semicircle. From the summit of Meall Garbh we continued to An Stuc, meeting a largish party at the bottom of the steep ascent to An Stuc. They warned of slippery and loose rock. It was misty and damp and this is how it continued until near the end of the walk. From An Stuc we continued to Creag an Fhithich, Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas before descending to the Visitor Centre. | pwbellarby | 10/10/1993 |

Unlogged summit climbed while living / holidaying in Scotland between 1972 and 1987. Climbed several times but notably on a circuit with Beinn Ghlas, Ben Lawers, An Stuc and Meall Greigh in fine sunny weather. Visitor centre to Lawers village. | BURGESS | 31/08/1987 |
Round of 5 easterly Lawers hills with Shaky, Mr T. & SB on a blazing hot day. Found a small area (which no longer exists) near the Lawers hotel to reverse off the road. Then up the track by the Lawers Burn before sweating up the brutal grass slope to Meall Greigh. Then Meall Garbh, An Stuc, Lawers & Beinn Ghlas. Dropped SE to end of track running around the hillside before heading E to rejoin the ascent route at the top of the enclosed pastures. Dehydration was quickly cured later at the Drovers at Inverarnan. | NotReallyABagger | 30/08/1987 |

Alone. From Invervar. I followed a zig zag path (not shown on my OS 1:50,000 1st series map) behind Dericambus. I came to a new fence. I talked to a man constructing it – it cost £12,000! It goes up to the boundary of the National Trust land below Meall Greigh. I followed the fence – there is a path on and off - then on to Meall Greigh and Meall Garbh. Continued to An Stuc, Ben Lawers, Beinn Ghlas, Meall Corranaich, Meall a’ Choire Leith and back to Invervar. Fine, becoming cloudy and windy. | pwbellarby | 31/08/1983 |
