I camped by the sheepfold between Sartfell and Slieau Freoghane then made an evening ascent on tolerable terrain, lots of gravelly areas near the summit.Colin Crawford03/09/2023
Traverse from Sulby to Crosby on clear sunny day. From Freoaghane over heather to levelish gravelly top with post though Abney used to determine HP. Descended to track over heather.Denise 28/09/2022

Verge parking for 3-4 cars (SC 3419 8661). Good track, suitable for 4wd vehicle. Slieau Freoaghane first then Slieau Dhoo, picking this one upon the return.jonglew06/12/2021
11 mile circular from Ballaugh. Followed road through Ravensdale then ascended through the Ballaugh plantation up to a moorland road. From here followed the green Lane to the foot of Slieau Dhoo, following tiny trails to the sizeable cairn on top. From here descended through heather back to the green Lane, followed this to junction passing Slieau Freoaghane and followed a trail onto Sartfell. A weird quartz landscape on top and even weirder telephone pole that someone must have carried up here..... from the summit headed across pathless terrain to summit of Slieau Freoaghane, then followed trail over Slieau Curn and back to Ballaugh. Perfect walking conditions for this time of year, clear and sunny with far reaching views of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland and Wales. Afterwards drove into Peel and bagged Corrins Hill.DanTrig21/10/2019
Circular walk with Alma Aurea from the B10. Great views up here.meltdiceburg19/04/2019
5th tump of 9 on a 36.7km traverse from Sulby to Peel, climbing Cronk Sumark, Mount Karrin, Slieau Dhoo and Slieau Freoaghane, descending South the profiling around Sw then West to reach the bare summit plateaux, instantly making me remember Trostan in Northern Ireland. I walked around for about 10 mins taking readings and marked 2 waypoints on this broad flat-topped tump, that being 456m @ SC 33517 87213 and the same reading at SC 33473 87204. Descent W then Wsw to reach lane then heading North to take lane to Cronk Y Voddy, heading for hill of the same name...Dazingdale16/07/2018
