from Llanaehaearn via B4417, FP and Yr Eifl top. Very interesting Iron Age remains there.IanHHill30/08/2023
As hill forts go this is certainly the biggest and best preserved that I've seen. From the elevated car park N of Llithfaen and on paths across the shoulder of Yr Eifl.Minto19/07/2023
Fabulous preserved hill fort. Very thick, high walls, especially at the west entrance. Lovely path up to Yr Eifl from the west gate. With Minto & Jill.Dangerous Dave19/07/2023
3 of 3 after night in the Motorhome parked on croes-higol road. From yr eifl down the track and back up and through the passage wall. From the top come back round the other side of yr eifl to get on the track and back down the coast path into treforThe-Z-Man01/06/2023

Parked at junction of minor road to SSW. Pleasant fp up through pasture and onto moorland. Then the amazing massive hill fort. And nobody there. Incredible.Campbell Singer25/04/2022

The three Yr Eifl summits - clockwise from Mt Pleasant CP. Good hills - pleasant walk.Crib Goch26/07/2021
From the Mount Pleasant car park along the ROW to the exceptional fortifications of Tre'r Ceiri, then over to the interesting Trig of Yr Eifl and on to the panoramic peak of its North Top. Fascinating walk in fabulous weather - just a shame that Wales was getting trounced at Euro 2020 as we wandered up and down the rocky trails.summitter26/06/2021
Good parking in layby on road at SH380444, although you have to walk back along the road SW to pick up the RoW heading up by the wall. Don't try to cut across the field from the layby to the path - there isn't a way across the wall by the look of things. There is a rough layby by the start of the path, but it is much thinner than the other one. Followed the path up and up through the entrance to the fort to the top. Absolutely fascinating.Wheelsy26/06/2021
Circular of three Yr Eifl tops at an easy pace. Parked near Llithfaen in carpark at SH 353 440. Followed Welsh Coast Path then up steps past mast to Yr Eifl North Top. Down to col then vague path up to Yr Eifl summit. Across another col and up to the impressive stone hillfort at Tre'r Ceiri hillfort. Followed clear undulating paths back to car park. Bright sunny day; warm but rather hazy. Great views.Skip16/04/2021
Great 5 mile circular from road junction just outside Llithfaen, we followed paths across the flanks of Yr Eifl, joined the coast path following it up to its highest point; the col between Yr Eifl and its north top, bagged Yr Eifl north top by following steps up to mast compound then trail over boulders to cairn on top. We then retraced our steps to the col and climbed fairly steeply to Yr Eifl summit, after we followed trails to Tre'r Ceiri then back down to the car. Afterwards we drove around to and bagged Mynydd Carnguwch. Amazing weather; not a cloud in the sky with views of Snowdonia, Plynlimon, Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsular, you could even spot the Pembrokeshire hills along Cardigan Bay. A few people about.DanTrig14/09/2020

Brilliant hill with the best hill fort ever, even in wind and rain. Space for one car just at junction to south for ROW .Mark Sims29/11/2018
Parked at 37894 44229 in a layby. Up the fp. There was low cloud and strong winds and I missed the right turn but it is there - a narrow path more or less paved with rocks. Wondeful summit area. The board at the bottom says that it is one of the best preserved hillforts in Britain and I would agree.clivevilla14/11/2018

From Yr Eifl on good path. Large hill fort entered on NW side and exited at SW end. Lots of stones/rocks to plod over in very limited viz and high winds. Not the best of days, but not raining.jonglew20/08/2016
Continuation of walk from Yr Eifl. Took path east down to bwlch then trail up through fortifications to the summit - a very impressive site. To return, took path down south-west to rejoin my outward route. Solo.Man of Kernow111/06/2016

Porth-y-Nant upper car park at 353440 – East along a decent path & then NE up Llyn Coastal Path – After passing through kissing gate in wall, headed up through the ramparts to the summit of probably Britain’s best preserved Iron Age hill fort (the walls of over 150 stone huts are almost completely intact) – Continued to Yr Eifl. Over from Eifl finding a path for some of the way up and not for other parts. Made a right mess of going back down to Trefor. There's a path marked on my map to the east of Eifl which doesn't seem to be there on the ground.Father Ted10/10/2015
With Hobbs family on birthday: car park at SH353440 - Bwlch yr Eifl - Yr Eifl N Top - Yr Eifl - Tre'r Ceiri - past Caergribin and back. Great walk and sea views. OK path between this and Yr Eifl. Fascinating ruined huts and walls on top. Did people live up here?Mark Jackson26/08/2015

Start ~ 366433. Climbed up to Caergribin and found a faint path that led directly to the summit. Fantastic views in all directions. Descended to the West and took in the hillfort on Tre'r Ceiri, well worth a visit. With Wombourne.steve hudson03/03/2015

From Bwlch Nant Gwrtheyrn car park, by narrow paths through the heather. The hillfort is an impressive ancient site, much more so than tarted up 'visitor attractions' such as Caernarfon Castle and 95% of Hadrian's Wall.jim pererin23/04/2014

Tre'r Ceiri Iron Age Hill Fort - Yr Eifl - Point 444m in The Rivals Lleyn. Stayed at Porthmadog Travelodge (sale £12 per night). Dinner and talks with Keith Douglas and his wife Heather. This was the first time I had ever met Heather, and they have been married 42 years!JtwoUD08/02/2012
Parked near Llithfaen by the woods. Y Eifl North Top, Yr Eifl and Tre'r Ceiri. Got a bit lost coming off the top in fog and ended up scrambling over big boulder scree for quite some distance. Blowing a hooley but had a stop in the KISU - nice and cosy with Mark.Saggers26/11/2011

A circular walk, carrying Megs, from carpark at SH353440 incorporating the main peak and Tre'r Ceiri. The iron age stone hill fort is definately worth a visit. These hills are as good as many of the bigger hills in north Wales.Herbert Anchovy24/07/2009
