From the minor road to the nw. Easy walk up through pastures. Great views on a hot late summer evening.Campbell Singer07/09/2021
Up fenceline from road junction to W.jimbloomer24/08/2021
Up the side of the barb wire fence to the top. A glorious day for walking and a cracking view.greboicus04/04/2021
Directly up from Rhiwlas farm with permission of the farmer but less so the noisy sheep dogs. Twin summits of very similar height. Great 360degree view.RichardM09/01/2020
Parked at 2196 3414. The 2nd of five Tu4 on an anticlockwise circuit of the hills N. of Rhiwlas, starting with Spring Hill & finishing on Pen-y-gwely. From Spring Hill, back down RoW to farm & then SW along tracks to 397m spot height & padlocked gate - Over gate, up alongside fence, straddled wire fence & across to memorial & unmarked summit by fence. Continued to Foel Rhiwlas. (S)gerrybowes29/06/2019
Parked at layby at 19340 32287 and, mistakenly. went up the road NW then sharp right around 183328. Realising it was not the intended route I just went straight for the summit from about 198331 and it was OK.clivevilla21/11/2018
From NNW, parked near farm building before gate. Up lane as far as a green water tank then straight up steep hillside by fence. Across to memorial then over to the alternative top on grassy rise.Aye Jimmy14/04/2018
From minor road to North(parked 219 342)along road to Upper Ceiriog Way bridleway, Foel Wylfa,Foel Rhiwlas,Craig y Hwch and Pen y gwely back along bridleway to North, joined road again by Llechrydau farmhouse. Ascent from East along fenceline, cross one fence to top by memorial. Also visited the 2 other high points just in case.Rob5025/03/2018
1/4 solo immeasurably beautiful and windy autumn walk, figure of 8 from tregeiriog. Steep, enigmatic hill with several high points. So windy here, the maze of summits and fences on top was troublesome.tumpawumpa22/10/2017

Three candidates for high point. Approached from west along fenceline. The views up here are superb. Grassy top by memorial looks to be 2nd highest spot. knoll nearest Rhiwlas looks lower. Over the fence towards Llanarmon seems the high spot. These hills have been part of my life for 30+ years.. love it up here.stig_nest17/04/2016
From the village of Rhiwlas taking in Foel Wylfa,Foel Rhiwlas and Craig-yr-hwch.mad max04/02/2016
Parked in a small lay-by west of Rhiwlas at SJ 19340 32287 - room for 1-2 cars if parked carefully. Followed lane up north-west to a junction, then sharp right to join the Upper Ceiriog Way to Cefn y braich-uchaf. Then took stony byway to its a track junction at SJ 19725 33318, turning onto a grassy track up the hill's east ridge. A short hop over a low fence at the traclk's highest point (no barbed wire) brought me to the summit with its memorial. Walk continued to Foel Rhiwlas. Solo.Man of Kernow107/11/2015
From SJ 197 321. Visited both lumps to make sure.summitsup29/12/2014
