Parked near Colva church, did Lanfihangel Hill and Catty Traylow first then back via Bwlch along road past Pentwyn. Short distance along BW to access land then up tracks to top. Back over Yr Allt east top.PeterD27/01/2024
Parked at the entrance to the derelict Bwlch to north of hill. Into pasture, over one bwf and through dead bracken to pleasant summit. 25 minutes up and down.Campbell Singer08/04/2023
Yr Allt East Top then Yr Allt on a circuit from Colva Church. Encountered a farmer with a pathological hate of walkers - whilst on PRoW and access land, which added even more greyness to the day.summitsup31/12/2021
Up from lane at E edge of access land and pleasant wander to summit. The bracken on the top and easier NW slopes was being mowed and baled up.milimana24/09/2021
5 summit circuit from Colva church (space for 2 cars). Llanfihangel Hill, Little Hill, Glascwm Hill, Black Hill, Yr Allt (SW to NE traverse).PGCE22/01/2021
Cloggau- Yr Allt- Colva, after Colva/Llanfihangel Hill. I planned a SW to NE traverse, but made it up as I went along. No waymarks, lots of dog barking but no one came to look at Cloggau. A gate at the top of the field S of the one with the RoW gave access to sheep worn grassy slopes (obvious from a mile away) through the gorse and bracken onto the ridge, which gave a very fine return to Colva. Keeping along the ridge after the access land made sense- the slopes to the RoW were very vegetated (NB- Sep!) and there were gates to the lane NW of Pentwyn. Colva church, the highest (above sea level!) well worth a visit, unexpectedly grand and a lovely setting.pwheeler05/09/2020
A good walk through the quiet hills above Glascwm (saw no other walker all day) from the summit of the road at SO 165534 visiting Little Hill (east one), Gwaunceste Hill, Llanfihangel Hill, Yr Allt (west one), Newchurch Hill, Bryngwyn Hill, Red Hill and Glascwm hill. Mostly fast progress on good tracks through the heather moors, but beware the totally overgrown and nettle infested bridleway down from Yr Allt to the road before Newchurch Hill. 31km with 1100m ascent in 8 hours. Lovely little top on the Church Stretton fault line. Walked up from east where bridleway enters the common land.Rob Rees25/05/2020
Sheep-cropped grassy hummock with superb views on cool sunny day. Circuit from Gladestry.Denise 22/03/2020
Gain the Access Land where it adjoins the lane at its E edge. Grassy path to summit. Very fine views. Sunshine. A great little hill.RichardM22/03/2020
Parked with difficulty on the road to the E. For speed decided against the PRoW from Pentwyn & went for a direct assault over the fields. Surprisingly good viewpoint.DanMaisieBex23/12/2019
From NE. Bit of fern-bashing.clivevilla15/07/2018
6/9 Sixth of Nine on another wet and windy day (Little Hill West Top/Gwaunceste Hill/Little Hill East Top/Glascwm Hill/Back Hill/Yr Alt/Yr Alt East Top/Bryngwyn Hill/Newchurch Hill)Fergalh20/12/2015
Surprisingly nice circular walk, parked at top of pass east of Glascwm, walked down through the village and up onto Little Hill (West one), then followed moors onto Gwaunceste Hill and across to Colva Hill, followed lanes to near Colva Church then went out and back to Yr Allt, then carried onto Black Hill, Glascwm Hill and up and back onto Little Hill (East one) back to car, nice and sunny day, didn't see anyone all day.DanTrig28/10/2015
