Easy parking at top of housing estate to SSE. Over the gate and up. Blaenau Gwent compleation.PGCE06/12/2023
From an open area at the edge of a housing estate at SO 13383 08698. Through a gate onto the grassy moor and up by various tracks on drier ground to the cairned summit. Descent was more direct, but ended up struggling through reedy bog-land. With MP. 2.2km, with 75m of ascent.Man of Kernow106/06/2023
Caught the train to Rhymney and after a bit of exploring headed up the hill. A fairly gentle climb to the top.Father Ted26/01/2023
From Tir-Phil station, after Cefn y Brithdir. Initially tried the bridleway shown on the OS map as running alongside the NW boundary of the school, but this has been blocked off by 'residents', who came out of various sheds to watch me suspiciously as I came and went. Second attempt via the bridleway running north-east from the cattle-grid, much more successful. Zig-zaggy track leads up onto the ridge to the west of the summit, I belatedly discovered that it would have been best to stay on the crest of the ridge and follow it round to the top, as the lower ground between the ridges is boggy and deeply vegetated. Sigh. Great views from the top, although some kind of semi-organised motocross thing meant is was hardly tranquil. Dropped back to Rhymni by following the ridge SW to rejoin the track I came up.thesweetcheat19/09/2022

From Gainsborough Road garages- path soon peters out into sheep trods but going not too bad - no heatherMark Sims12/04/2018
Up and down from near the garages. Quite boggy in places. Best way to avoid it: directly up and to the left from the gate over the prominent mound directly behind white telegraph pole, follow this track until it meets a boggy section, which can be avoided by going round the edge to the right. Then short walk to top. Windfarms being built nearby.amarillo-oro-como15/11/2017
