With David Baird. Straight up the hill from near the cattle grid at S end of Leverburgh. Easy. So glad it isn't a super quarry as it would have had lovely views if it hadn't been mistyThearlaichdubh20/09/2017
With Andrew P. Drove up track to waterworks. On to Bhoiseabhal before returning to car.jonglew16/09/2017
Granite on the summit plateau is anorthosite, similar in composition to rocks found in the mountains of the Moon if you believe what is written on the web. This hill had a referendum ballot over plans to remove 600 million tons of rock in the 1990’s. Parked at telecoms mast in clag at 65m. 2 hour 45rogreeves06/07/2017

Parked near to existing telephone mast and abandoned buildings (military communications?) at NG053838. Ascended ridge across initially boggy and then easy ground with Lorraine to Beinn na h-Aire and then onwards alone across very desolate rocky/mossy plateau and then up rocky ridge to summit.raffemeister07/04/2016
What a fabulous hill! From Rodel church, up via the loch, and down the ridge. Stunning 360 views, and the most amazing plateau and corries covered in grey stones. Surprisingly easy walking for Harris, with relatively small amounts of bog, mainly dodge-able on rocks.Gill28/03/2016
Dry, sunny, calm, good views, parking at top of pass on Rodel road.iangalbraith14/09/2015

Parked on narrow road leading to SE coast. Rapid ascent over dry moor to broad ridge SE to hill. Sheep paths along ridge to broad bealach and to top of Bhoiseabhal. Unbelievable scraped rock landscape to NE with thousands of lochans. Down and over a wide bealach up to rock strewn slopes to top at 12.45.arranc29/05/2006
Parked by the main store in Leverburgh. Took roads and track to the water tank . From there there was an obvious route via a stream to the top. Once again great views were had especially of the Sound of Harris. The return was via the route up.garyhoney04/08/2004

Early morning solo south to north traverse at a run starting Day 2 of the Western Isles Challenge,(whilst Matt was still canoing over from Uist)- from our hired static caravan after little sleep and an exhausting but exhilarating day yesterday. Passed the Harris tweed 'baton' on to Lesley waiting on her bike to power northwards along the golden coast road.Chris Pearson09/05/1996
