Pipers Hill, Whinash, Jeffrey's Mount from parking area at E end of Borrowdale. Walked along glen then ascent to Pipers Hill and return along the ridge. Snow at all levels, camped overnight in very cold conditions on ridge just before Piper's Hill. | RobertP | 03/02/2019 |

From Thorny Bank. Seemed to take forever, toiling up the wet, spongy slopes on a compass bearing in the fading light. Made it back to the car at the last gasp of day. A disappointing walk because of the weather but from the little I could see it seems a strangely neglected area. Pencilled in for a return in fine weather. Incredible that Wainwright didn't include a walk here in The Outlying Fells. 6 hrs 45 mins. | Wycombe Wanderer | 20/10/2018 |
