From Austwick. Limestone features everywhere. Encountered thunder and lightning at the top and beat a hasty retreat to lower ground. Very unpleasant experience.Campbell Singer05/05/2023

On return to Horton-in-Ribblesdale Station from Thwaite Scars. After Sulber Nick, turned SW at fingerpost, then followed wall S, crossing ladder stile and heading for summit.peter4lc04/11/2021
Solo from Clapham P & D car park. There’s room for 2/3 cars on Thwaite Lane at its junction with Crummack Lane, one of which was still available when I passed, so I could have saved some dosh and some leg work! Nevertheless it was an excellent walk. Crummack Dale is a lovely place and the summit affords cracking views through 360°. Very warm, very enjoyable.ADT18/07/2021

Roadside verge parking on Crummack Lane (SD 7724 6973). RoW WNW to access land for Thwaite Scars first then across to here via Crummack Farm and straight up the wall at Hunterstye for a particularly fine 8.5km circular walk picking off my last 2 hills in this part of the county.jonglew25/11/2020

With Sue and PS, CC after watching rugby world cup final defeat in pub in Clapham. Along green lanes weak sun shine offering some comfort on a wet day. Then back to pub,Frank02/11/2019
From Smearsett Scar followed rights of way to the minor road to the north. Visited the viewpoint above Dry Rigg Quarry and took the right of way climbs Moughton Scar, by the side of the quarry. When this ends at a wall,a wall stile gives access to the open hill. Moughton has the most amazing limestone pavement, as well as great views. In descent. followed the Dales High Way to Feizor and walked along the road to the layby on the B6480.Sprog05/10/2019

From Thwaite Scars. There is no legal path between Crummack and Hunterstye. The black path shown on the map has a prohibitive notice on the gate at the western side and there is no access out of the field onto the bridle path on the eastern side. However ...........moorsman18/02/2017
