Parked outside Forest-in-Teesdale Chapel, parking for 1/2cars at a push. Easy walk on Access Land, took the gate below High Knott to reach access land. Prominent summit with good views. Cold and iceymatty1971b21/01/2023

Parked at chapel and walked 400 mts back along road towards High Force before taking fp into pasture and open access. High wall initially looked a barrier but followed it along to the right and there is a gate. Then over tussocky moorland and through/over another gate just before rocky top.Campbell Singer10/08/2020

Track from chapel - return via High Knott.Wycombe Wanderer18/01/2020
Had meant to do this a couple of years ago, but held off until the access restrictions were lifted. Checked last night and all seemed good. So, much as others have done, parked up by the gate to the NE and made my way clockwise to the next gate, through the col and onto the summit, then back via a quick peek at the quarry workings. All done comfortably within 20 minutes (running).madaddo10/07/2019

My 60th Birthday TUMP in company of 20 friends. Unlikely this small grassy summit has ever seen so many people all at once! Snow, sunshine and calm, a fine little hill with good views.RichardM04/02/2018
Parked at NY 87350 29750 on grass verge. Followed path SE then S turning W at pathe junction. Through gatè in wall to small col. SW over tussock thŕough gate to high point. Good views, worthwhile top.John Lee04/11/2017
From cp on B6277 at Forest in Teesdale. Past Wat Garth & Hill End then horrendous route over barbed wire fences & deep bracken. Down the route that everybody else used, which is a doddle. How could I think I knew better than the likes of Aye Jimmy et al.ngthack25/10/2016
Parked as per moorsman. Visited lower northern top ( High Knott) first then onto summit.Fisky Boy07/05/2016

Approached as previous two loggers; boggy bit frozen. Nice summit. Across to lesser summit 240m away and views into large quarry - if you like that sort of thing.Aye Jimmy04/01/2015
Parked on the verge as Moorsman suggests. Through the gate and followed track to the left into Access Land. Reasonably firm going until through the wall and over the col to lower ground below. Tussock and wet. Jogged through at dusk to last gate and the high point. Lights and noise from quarry not so good. Back same way, quite complex ground. Dark back at car by 5pm.nordicstar03/11/2014
Parking possible if you pull onto the wide verge just east of the entrance driveway of the house opposite the start of the bridleway. Follow the path clockwise as this give a clear view of the gate through the wall. Good viewpoint,moorsman20/09/2014
Last of 3 peaks done solo at dusk / dark on a lovely Fri evening after work nr York. Track then weaved up around quarry, over wall, tussocks and grass run to far hillock. back asap same way drove up onto the moors, found layby and slept in my car ready for early bagging next day into firing ranges before the army had their breakfast.Chris Pearson10/06/2012
