After The Hills I parked up in Warslow next to the pub and did a nice circuit using footpaths to just West of Hayeshead and then via open access terrain to reach fp beside conifers where a path leads to the summit. On this day I had to share the summit with DoE adventurers. Descent South to footpath then East to Clough Head and then onto road. Next Grindon Hill...Dazingdale24/04/2023

Lovely little walk via footpath to SE via copse and good path through heather to trig.Wycombe Wanderer17/04/2021
Started from Warslow to make a walk of it, via FB, steps and Hayes Cottage. Surprisingly enjoyable on a mild day climbing the lee side, although very muddy in places. Approached summit from ROW to N, there is a path all the way to summit although not marked on the OS map. Fortunately didn’t encounter any crocodiles. With whole family.RoguePulsar12/12/2020
Old abandoned house on the way up line of trees near the summit went with whole family.speedyclimber12/12/2020

As moorsman. Easy parking just beyond cattle grid at end of rough minor road to N. at SK 07872 60465 - Up track for 400m and then turned right up stone steps - Well-used path to summit cairn and trig point. (S)gerrybowes07/12/2018

As previous loggers. A fine wild feeling place.stig_nest17/04/2017
Easy parking at the end of the minor road to the north (alt 1181 ft). Bear right and walk as far as the large copse of trees which enclose the track. Immediatly before these trees a good track goes off to the right leading straight to the summit 0.84 miles return. 20 minutes. Someone has too much time on their hands looking at the adjoining monster!moorsman19/01/2017
Friendly farmer gave me directions through MOD wood. Evidently rarely used as a bivouac camp. The entrance to wood is a coupl of hundred ms north west of ft route. Big advantage is there is parking for a few cars where there is none at start of ft on busy road.Campbell Singer30/11/2016
On ROW from south in gloaming on return from early start day of work in Bury. Nice little hill. First snow of the winter around.Mark Sims09/11/2016
Parked at SK07483 59396 outside gates inscribed with 'MOD Property'. Walked in NE direction following unmade road and then to top of wood. Same direction to meet PF until crest then head West following good path. Julie said stones looked like a crocodile.David Evans30/10/2016

Rough lane from N, parked at junction. Gravel track then skirted R round spinney to newly painted trig, brilliant white. Mound few m to side still has its elaborate cairn - looks more like a crocodile to me!Aye Jimmy15/07/2014

Parked at entrance to track on minor to SSW at SK 07478 59385. Walked along edge of forest on access land to meet public footpath for ascent. Returned to road keeping to public footpath for descent.
