Ascent from the Casthill reservoir car park. Very windy at the summit.dmacdo1003/02/2024
From Glen Sherup car park up good forest track. A pile of stones at the road side marks the spot where good path heads up hill through firebreak in the trees and through a gate at top which takes you onto the open hillside and path along ridge to summit. A good sized cairn provided plenty of shelter as it was a bit breezy!!Jossker27/01/2024

Beautifully sunny day. Loop from Dollar.quadbarrel05/09/2020
Round of Glen Sherup, widdershins. Warm sun, cool W wind, dry with some cloud. Views partial but long: B a Ghlo, Tinto, Bass Rock, B Vorlich etc. Saw 3 or 4 others, so quiet. Great walking: dam, B Shee, Cairnmorris Hill, Tarmangie, Whitewisp, Innerdownie. Not so hill-fit being first hills for months. pretty nice well defined summit this, for an Ochilniallp20/07/2020
From Glen Sherup car park. Deep snow and worsening weather meant I retraced my steps rather than complete the horseshoe.the pigguy 05/03/2020
I circled the summits around glen Sherup in the Ochil Hills, getting the two Donalds, Innerdownie (610m) and Tarmangie Hil (645m), plus a couple of tops, Whitewisp Hill (643m) and Ben Shee (516m). Accessed from the Glen Sherup forest car park, across the A823 from the Glen Devon Holiday Park. Clear blue skies all day, which was actually too bright and hazy to give any views to the south, but windy and cold on top, 04:25 hours all in.chillyman803/01/2020
Note, Gleds nose route still usable, but firebreak access the glensherup side is now further on, marked by post and cairn.Belfarm 25/08/2019
The 1st of 5 D/DDew on a clockwise circuit of Glen Sherup, finishing on Ben Shee. Parked in Glen Sherup car park at 972052 & up forest tracks for about 3km to waymarked & cairned firebreak at 9746 0411 - Up firebreak, through gate in deer fence then a decent path/ATV track to summit knoll by cairn. Continued to Whitewisp Hill. (S)gerrybowes21/08/2019
Parked at Glendevon and walked to Castle Campbell. Then King's Seat, Andrew Gannel, Skythorn, Tarmangie, Whitewisp, Innerdownie. Direct return to Glendevon on grassy path.PGCE26/02/2019
Last of 6 on an excellent clear wintery day from Castle Campbell. Direct descent to Maiden's Well (no trees but rough ground) for return to car. Active logging on Hillfoot Hill.Tony S10/12/2018
A terrific traverse of 8 Ochil New Donalds with Martin66, Smithy & MarkH with cars at both ends. From the parking area by the side of Castlehill Reservoir, up the track to Glenquey, followed cut grass path from NW of reservoir beyond its limit on map all the way to the summit. Continued easily over Whitewisp Hill & Taramangie Hill. Dropped steeply SW & slogged up the path to King's Seat (worth continuing to SE end for view). Dropped W & up path NW to Andrew Gannel Hill. Crossed fence & took direct path to Ben Cleuch: a rather untidy summit. Round to the bump of Ben Ever & down tracks to Alva Glen. Brilliant round in great weather.NotReallyABagger11/08/2018
Innerdownie, Bentie Knows, Whitewisp Hill, Taramangie,Scad Hill, Ben Shee. All but last two in mist. 4 hour round.Longwojo12/06/2018

Glorious winter's day, snow on the ground, bitterly cold wind. Dollar to Glendevon over King's Seat, Tarmangie, Whitewisp and InnerdownieColin Crawford27/12/2017
Round of 6 tumps from Glen Sterup: Black, Innerdownie, Whitewisp, Tarmangie, Cairnmorris and Shee. Up the north ridge from Black col, cleared at first, then followed line of old fence and white ribbons, dodging a few fallen trees. Deer fence scramble (or detour to stile) near the summit.Topographer5719/11/2017
From Glen Sherup car park through forest on good track/path to ridge and up Innerdownie with fine views. Then on round to Whitewisp Hill and Tarmangie Hill on ATV tracks. Easy enough crossing to Cairnmorris Hill then down to low point below Ben Shee. Go0d track/path to top then down via dam to car.SS22/10/2017
With J, F & A from Glen Sherup P up through forest and R, SW, onto ridge, following wall/fence to summit of I. Continued along wall/fence down to Bentie Knowe and Whitewisp Hill. Good visibility and fine weather although cold W wind at times. First visit was on 08/09/2015. Third visit was on a KHWC walk on 07/03/2020 in very wet conditions; the ridge was snow/ice covered which with the strong wind made progress v slow. Two walkers (C) turned back about 1km from summit and the remainder, 9, continued to the summit of I, deciding there to abort the walk, around Whitewisp, Tarmangie and Ben Shee, and to return to the Glen Sherup carpark.Fourth visit route repeated second; KHWC 8 walkers, good weather although showers threatened.jacobus03/07/2017
W Jenx. Parked at the upper free CP for Castle Campbell. Circuit on good paths in the mists but for Andrew Gannel. Chill but little wind. Over Bank Hill on way to Kings Seat, then Andrew Gannel, Skythorn Hill, Cairnmorris Hill, Tarmangie Hill, the pleasantly remote Innerdownie before completing the Ochil Donalds on White Wisp Hill. Direct descent back to the track and car.nordicstar20/01/2017

Solo. From car park on SE side of Castlehill Reservoir. Along tarred access track to Glenquey Reservoir and untarred track on NW side of reservoir. Up something of a track and then straight up hillside to summit of Innerdownie. Forested but trees well spaced and deciduous rather than conifers as shown on my OS 1:50,000 map. A lot of vegetation though. Wall crosses summit area - highest point between wall and cairn. Continued to Tarmangie Hill and Whitewisp Hill.pwbellarby07/07/2015

From Dollar Glen, I contoured around the southern fringes of White Wisp. Pain in the arse, out on a limb hill, that only just makes it onto the Donald list. The torture was made worse by having to trudge through snow where no others had been for a while, then having to go all the way back to continue the planned itinerary. i have always said that there is never a bad hill but this one comes close (on that day anyway).thenomad19/02/2014
