From SW corner of Benarty Wood up good path steeply at first but easy going further up to trig point summit. Returned via Mulla Craig and back to track from the old fort down to roadside.Jossker24/10/2023
Round Lochore & great route up past Blair Mill. Then up good track through fields & plantation to fort W of trig. Along ridge to Mulla Craig, back to Benarty. Down to Vane Hill, round RSPB, up & E through gate to Navitie Hill. Good descent through Ballingry Farm, footpath to Harran Hill & completed circuit of Lochore. 21km, 600m climb 5hrs. Well worth it for the views.Lynnebe23/08/2023

As per other users , from RSPB car park. Followed red route described as sleeping giant path. Connected path now made , so when out of RSPB reserve, pass through a wooden gate, continue on hardsurface path, go through a metal kissing gate. Continue for 2/300 metres, and look for anfeint earth path going upwards through bracken trees. At T junction turn R, this larger path will curve around L, and take you to summit.VerySlowPlodder28/06/2022

With SDC. Blustery but stayed dry and sunny while we sipped on top. Amazing views for an easy ascent from Lochore by Harran Hill, return by the Avenue.niallp03/10/2021
From the RSPB nature Reserve Car park. Red route technically shut, followed diversion route which gives a pleasant walk up to Ben Vane and then a path along to the summit (one path need to spot up through the woods to the wall, but once that sorted really pleasant path along by the wall above the ridge up to the summit. Came off the back following a good path to meet the forest path through Benarty Wood then retraced steps back to the start. 5.2 miles, 2hrs 10mins walking time. Could be much shorter.JulieB11/08/2021
Had planned to walk to the Vane Farm cafe but too hot, started at the back of BallingryTioramlady07/08/2021
From the Loch Leven RSPB reserve. An easy track despite it technically being closed due to a land slip, which upon being reached was insignificant.Peterb03/08/2021
Celebratory, post-work 150th Marilyn in vast evening sky. From RSPB up a dodgy crag. The full view of my office this year. Mulla Craig after then a 15min trip to Findatie to look at the Purple Hairstreaks. How's that for 3 hours?!iangpark25/07/2021

From RSPB visitor centre up to viewpoint then across meadow and up path to just before gate (turn right at red arrow on rock). Path then follows fence to trig. Came back by the Sleeping Giant path which would have been a more direct ascent.SS05/10/2019
Parked at foot of steps at 159969 an followed steps up to track then path through newish gate then on to top via Seamark Stone. Beautiful day ..warm blue sky, tremendous views in all directions from a comparatively small hill.Jubilado16/05/2019
From Vane Farm RSPB VC, NT 159990. The connection between the Sleeping Giant Trail and the summit ridge path is distinctly indistinct - if you miss it, as I did, the heather depth is purgatorial - I stumbled upon the summit ridge path and followed it back to see what went wrong, so, here goes - you have to pass right through and out the other side of the VC courtyard to find the start of the SGT. Follow the engineered path uphill - after passing under the power lines you come upon a large information board with a 'map diagram' with a 'you are here' legend on its very R edge with no directional information for when after you've stepped off the RH edge of the mapped world. The path continues around the perimeter of a grassy field to a high point with a gate and a descending forest road ahead. Turn R just before the gate up a thin soil path which leads into a messy felled area - the crux is to spot, here, amongst the mess, the unsigned thin path going counter-intuitively downhill, R, in tIsbjorn21/03/2019

From RSPB CP with Rosie. Followed sleeping giant path. Need to turn right off path and go up hill before getting to final gate. Follow path that keeps close to wall. I missed turn and spent 15minutes tramping through heather.Longwojo08/06/2018
