Parked near Hill Crest which is no longer derelict. Walked along road, then track, then up path past old car and to summit just over fence. Back to track junction then onto Cole’s Hill. | PeterD | 12/09/2021 |
Clockwise circuit over first the little wooded gem to the north, with a very long dead car wreck on its western summit slopes then Coles Hill to the south and another more recent red Suzuki abandoned wreck just west of Noisy Hall in the valley between the two hills. Parked on verge at end of tarmaced road to west of hill. Sought permission and was met by a very friendly lady with a very friendly dog. Pleasant walk along grassy lane before branching left up into woods, along fence to top. Then onto Coles Hill via the intriguing Noisy Hall. | Campbell Singer | 05/02/2020 |
From the west. Delightful walk. | Barbara Singer | 05/02/2020 |
Parked in Lingen church car park, walked through village and followed footpath next to Baptist church. Beautiful views in the last of the sun. | Wheeler | 05/09/2018 |
From the road end to the west (parking) . Into the woods and along the ridge on a path through very attractive oak woods. Met Moorsman on the way out. | fasgadh | 07/08/2018 |
Parking just north of Hill Crest (derelict) then a walk along the minor road to the junction into New House. Short lane before reaching the woods where, after passing through the gate, a path leads off left upwards to the summit. | moorsman | 07/08/2018 |
In open woodland just off path by fence. | Denise | 16/01/2018 |
From Lingen where there is good parking. W along track then through Lingen Vallet Wood to summit ridge in open oak woodland. High point a straggly tree beside wire fence. Limited view but a pleasant spot. Sunshine, moderate WNW wind. | RichardM | 16/01/2018 |
Parked at road junction to the west. Walked east along the lane which becomes a track before heading ne up the hill just after New House Farm to the top of Stapleton Hill East then south to Noisy Hall and briefly along a path before going up a forest track to the summit of Coles Hill. | clivevilla | 18/04/2016 |
As for RHW. | arranc | 12/04/2016 |
From Lingen. Was also going to Cole's Hill but current forestry activity, making it a 'war zone', deterred me (for the time being). | summitsup | 24/09/2015 |
Fourth on a circuit of 4 tops from Lingen. Faint track from New House follows the crest of the ridge west before dropping down into a sunken lane back to Lingen. | milimana | 06/04/2015 |
From W, end of yellow road, track then woodland edge, easy. | RHW | 25/10/2014 |
