As moorsman and, to add to the welcome, there was a herd of frisky bullocks in the field. They were running backwards and forwards in a herd. Just having fun I think but.... | clivevilla | 25/06/2022 |
Solo (Mick & Mary didn't come into the field to access the summit). | MickyRoss | 14/10/2020 |
With Jo, from Hound Tor car park: over Bonehill Down to Bell Tor, Chinkwell Tor and Honeybag Tor. Then followed tracks and roads to Heatree Down (used gap between fence/gate posts SSE) then continued forward to Hayne Down. Weather; sunny, warm, good visibility. | amblerbob | 17/09/2020 |
Tight, but room for 3 cars by the boundary stone. Took a direct line from the field gate. | jonglew | 31/03/2019 |

In fading light and with a long way to go after a superb sunny day! Top was amongst grass covered remnants of what might once have been a cairn in pasture. There was a concrete water tank on the other side of the fence. | Denise | 20/01/2017 |
6/14 of long but satisfying hill bagging day (Hay Tor/Rippen Tor/Top Tor/Chinkwell Tor/Hound Tor/Heatree Down/Easdon Tor/Black Hill/Birch Tor/Challacombe Down/Hamel Down/Hookney Tor/Cornden Tor | Fergalh | 13/06/2015 |
A very unwelcoming hill. Adequate parking to the west adorned with No Parking Here notices. Instead park across the road in a gate entrance. Walked straight across the field to the top | moorsman | 21/08/2014 |
10 tor bagging circuit from/ to Hay Tor with Darren . From Honeybag Tor along road and up Bw from west. Top in field of cows and a big bull – D was bravest – strode in and out quickly – whilst I watched from behind gate -no reaction from bull so ditto for me. | Chris Pearson | 06/08/2010 |
