| Lovely isolated little mountain with wide views of Lleyn peninsula, Anglesey, Snowdonia and as far as Ceredigion and even Ireland. Interesting ancient hill fort remains at top - reminded me of Carrock Fell in the Lakes. Did a clockwise circumnavigation of the hill from Ty-bwlcyn in northwest, before ascending from Carn Fadryn-Garn Bach saddle up the pleasant tourist path. Walked with Labrador. Rights of way to north and east of Carn Fadryn are ill-defined with lots of dog-unfriendly stiles (and one stile was dangerously in bad repair). Weather fine, dry but slightly overcast. | Short walk with G/F up from the bus stop by the chapel in Garnfadryn itself. Wonderful hillfort, with a Bronze Age cairn among the rocky outcrops and superb views of the whole peninsula, a bit hazy towards Yr Wyddfa though on our visit.
