Second ascent. 50 point control on summit on OMM 2023 Long Score with Darren. Fast diagonal running descent from main ridge to here avoiding stones and boulders. Then a very steep descent down the grassy gully to NE of summit - overtaking a few other teams by sliding on our bottoms! All to reach a control below the Black Ladder cliffs - magnificent scenery.Chris Pearson29/10/2023

From Gwaun y gwiail. Appalling weather. Heavy rain for 24 hours previous meant all rivers and becks in flood. Ground totally waterlogged. Misty. Had to follow Afon Cunilusg up hill until crossable. Eventually onto ridge path and easy from there. With B and R.jenx22/05/2021

Didn't bag this when doing the main ridge of the Carneddau a few years ago so bagged this on it's own whilst camping in Anglesey with the family. Fantastic views and an ascent/descent of this ridge twinned with Yr Elen would make a great day walk.simocity27/07/2018

From Dafydd in clag, visibility restored before getting down this far. Tough terrain at the start, but the top itself is easy and the walk down the ridge is lovely, with great views either side.thesweetcheat26/08/2017
From Tal y Llyn Ogwen straight up to ridge between Carnedd Dafydd and Carnedd Llewelyn, Dafydd then the dreaded 800m descent to Foel Meirch and back up again. Decided not to go to Llewelyn as the cloud descended and it rained so returned to car . With LP.wombourne01/06/2017

Started near disused post office in Gerlan. Multiple round ... Gyrn Wigau, Drosgl, Bera Bach, Bera Mawr, Carnedd Uchaf, Foel Grach, Carnedd Llewelyn, Carnedd Dafydd, Foel Meirch. Return to start. Time 6h 40min. Beautiful day amongst majestic mountains. Clear and sunny - breezy on tops. Some snow on tops. Views extending to Lake District, Wicklow mountains in Ireland, Mourne mountains in NI. Scrambling on the Bera's fun. Walked solo. No nav difficulties but paths indistinct when not on main Carneddau ridge. (Foel Meirch bit of a pointless lump but great views of Carnedd Dafydd's northern cliffs! A herd of wild (?) ponies were grazing nearby)jamessteel10025/03/2017

Pen yr Ole Wen, Foel Meirch, Carnedd Daffyd, Carnedd Llewlyn, Yr Elen Pen yr Helgi Du. Exhausting walk that took 9 hours, but perfect conditions. No cloud and cool sunny day. Fantastic meal at the Vaynol Arms in Pentir afterwardsLazylizzie03/07/2016
So there I was on Wigiau and on a whim decided to go direct to Meirch from there. Had been raining and both rivers were unpleasantly fast and deep. The climb up to Meirch felt neverending.. perhaps because I was soaked from the knee down.. eventually arrived at top. Lovely view of Elen but its a daft summit.. with Daffyd towering over as he does.stig_nest01/07/2016
