Round of Carnedd Llewelyn, Pen yr Helgi Du, Pen Lithrig Wrach and Craigiau Gleision from Gwern Goch Isaf. From 415m bridge, west face up onto 600m ridge, trackless pathless and wet at first but gets better on grass higher up. Pick up path up ridge to rocky summit. From bridge, route back to car was mostly on bank above water channel, marked ROW looked wet and muddy.Topographer5724/08/2019

12 mile walk from Capel Curig starting in sunshine, followed road then up boggy path to water channel, followed water channel to foot of Y Braich ridge and climbed to Pen Yr Helgi Du, the weather was still good by this time but the Glyders went into cloud, descended and steeply ascended onto Pen Llithrig Y Wrach, descended to end of reservoir and ascended pathless slopes onto Creigiau Gleison, by this time the weather had took a turn for the worst, we nearly went into cloud. Followed rough path onto Craiglwyn, then climbed up Craig Wen and Crimpiau, by this time every hill we had done earlier went into cloud, descended to Capel Curig. Great but strenuous walk, if we had started an hour later all the walk would have probably been in cloud!DanTrig09/04/2017

Started Tal-y-Braich track end. Up to and along leat. Bogfest of a rough slog to Bwlch y Tri Marchog, lovely firmness to Pen Llithrig y Wrach. Lost path on way down to reservoir. Over bridge and rough slog up to Creigiau Gleision. Marginally different line on descent found lots of useful trods. Down to Capel Curig. Dilyn llwybr o Capel Curig a geir gan Dafydd Andrews yn ei lyfr 'Cant Cymru' - ond gan ddringo *pob un* copa ar y ffordd, gan gynnwys Craiglwyn sydd ar y rhestr Nuttalls ond ddim yn un o 100 Cymru. Es i hefyd ymlaen i gopa gogleddol Creigiau Gleision - sydd yn cael ei gyfri yn gopa gwahanol yn y rhestr Nuttalls. I followed Dafydd Andrews' route in 'The Welsh 100' from Capel Curig - but deviating to climb every summit on the way, including Craiglwyn, whish is on the Nuttall list but not the Welsh 100. Also bagged the Creigiau Gleision 'north top' just because it happened to be close by, not knowing at the time it was a Nuttall!Dewi Prysor08/04/2015

After a zero-visibility stop-off at Craiglwyn, it was nice to see the rocky summit of this emerge as we got to the (wet and boggy) col. It looks quite intimidating but the path is very easy, with a little semi-scramble at the top. The skies to the west cleared as we arrived, revealing Tryfan in its glory. The path from Capel Curig skirts Clogwn-mawr and continues past marshy ground without ever gaining much height until it turns left to the summit of Crimpiau – a scramble over slippery rocks. The whole of the Ogwen Valley, with Tryfan in the foreground and Snowdon peeping out from behind the Glyderau, is visible from this 1,500 foot summit. The track from here is vague and has many false trails, but by keeping well to the left of the rocks you eventually come within sight of Creigiau Gleision. The ascent is not difficult and today the Lancashire Coast was clearly visible.peter4lc21/07/2002

From Capel Curig. Path over Clogwyn Mawr, then onto the highest point of this fine, complex area via Crimpiau. Good switchback ridge, excellent views of Llyn Colwyd. After a messt descent (but always on a path) we joined the path along side the lake, over the moor (great views to the Glyders from there),back to Capel Curig. Cloudy but base 2500-2900 ft, very few showers. With JEL.pwheeler07/05/1990
