From car park to the north. We actually parked on the road where there is parking for 2 hours although the car park itself is very cheap.
Followed Offa's Dyke Path from road to the west of the hill then up a steep path with steps to the summit. Descended on good track direct to the road. Great hill. Third of 4 Marilyns for the day. | KevPalmer | 28/09/2023 |
Parked at main car park for Moel Famau, £2 for 4hrs and £5 all day, very reasonable. Ascended Foel Fenlli first directly, then up Moel Famau via the tourist gravel Path back the same way. Horrible tower thing on top. Shame it was so hazy as the views would have been decent.
Dry though, 2hrs for the whole walk. | chillyman8 | 17/09/2023 |

Parked at Bwlch Penbarra car park (only £1.50 for the whole day). Firstly popped to the top of Foel Fenlli, before returning to the car to collect my rucksack for the longer journey north over Moel Famau, Moel Dywyll, Moel Llys-y-coed, then a big descent and ascent to Moel Arthur, and Moel Plas-yw. As no car to collect me, I had to walk south back along the ridge to Bwlch Panbarra. Mainly on Offa's Dyke trail with many people in glorious sunshine and a refreshing breeze. 21km with 1040m ascent in 6 hours. | silverwolf_alan | 07/08/2022 |

From layby on A494 (South of LLanferres) - track to Bwlch Crug glas - Foel Fenlli summit (and a wander around the hill fort earthworks) - dropping north we took the green road towards Teiron but then followed the edge of access land to Ty Mawr (Mochan Hapis) - Hirwean village then threaded out onto the plain and over the River Clwyd to bag the trig (OS level 44) north of Telpyn and Glan Clwyd. Return a similar route with a few detours eventually skirting the side of Foel Fenlli (above Halfway house) to reach Bwlch Crug glas - Dark by the time we get back to the car - the Moon and Jupiter light our path. | briandavies | 29/12/2019 |

Skirted summit North to South along Offa's Dyke Path | Peapod21 | 31/05/2019 |
Parked in coed moel famau car park and followed bottom of purple path to car at the bottom of Foel Finlli and took path straight up. Steep in places and slipper descent because of rain but well worth for views. Take note of the path you come in on when you reach the summit as it looks like a click face with numerous paths into it. The mist came in thick whilst there and was a little disorienting. First Marylin of the day before we did Moel Famau. | Hippy77 | 30/05/2019 |
Started from Pen Barras car park, fine sunny day, climbed up main path with directional arrows. Superb views of Moel Famau and Clwydd range. Could see the Berwyn mountains through the haze. Well preserved remains of a hill fort on the summit. | giant_hiker | 19/04/2019 |

From Bwlch Penbarras. Directly up the west path then down the more gentle east path. | Topographer57 | 10/09/2018 |
6.1 mile walk from Coed Moel Famau car park, followed good path through woods onto Moel Famau (2nd time, bagged in 2006), then followed big ridge path down to Moel Penbarra (25m prominence), down to Bwlch Penbarra, climbed up steeply onto Foel Fenlli and then south to Moel Eithinen, followed Offas Dyke path back north contouring Foel Fenlli back to bwlch and followed road to car park. Then drove round to our second walk of the day (Moel Gyw and co). Changeable weather; from cloud to showers to sun, few people about, amazing views to Snowdonia and over to Liverpool. | DanTrig | 25/08/2018 |

With Val. From Bwlch Penbarras, continued walking after returning from Moel Fammau. Followed Offa's Dyke then minor path to summit. Wet and muddy after heavy overnight rain. Found a better descent from summit to Offa's Dyke path by heading south from summit. | mike.hoult | 08/03/2017 |
