As others parked at precipice walk car park and followed signs, but also followed a3.5 mile route across peak, down to southern edge where route meets the bigger circular track. Wet and no visibility. Good to see a junior school party up there! With Mo.gbeniston12/03/2024
Excellent parking, and toilets, at SH745212. No nav skills needed. Aided upwards, and braked downwards, by substantial transfer of momentum from high speed dense fogIsbjorn02/02/2024

5.3 mile walk from Precipice Walk car park. We crossed road and then followed the main track north-west until a good path not marked on the OS maps signposted to Foel Offrwm Gopa came off. This leads nicely up to the big square cairn on summit. Lovely views from a small hill especially of Cadair Idris. We then retraced our steps to the car park and did the Precipice walk circuit. We were too tired to climb onto Foel Cynwch's pathless summit after climbing 880m on Manod Mawr earlier that day. The precipice walk is very easy with not much ascent. Sunny and fairly warm conditions. A few people about on the walk.DanTrig25/04/2022
From Precipice Walk car park following signs to Foel Offrwm Copa. 1.8 miles under 1hr round trip. Really pleasant hill.JulieB03/01/2022

Cracking little hill with views to four different mountain ranges. Parked at the Precipice walk trail head and up the signed path from here makes a lovely easy hill on our long journey home.nickywood123/09/2021

From car park NE along path which contours around the hill to the foot of the north ridge. Then up zig-zag path to the summit. Return by same route. Excellent views.Winterfloodian31/03/2019
From the Precipice Walk carpark (SH 7457 2114). Took the permissive path south for 150m then straight up steep grassy, heathery, dead-brackeny slope to over-sized square cairn at top. ***Revisited 14 Oct 2022, from same car park but more sedate route... track all the way.jonglew07/10/2018
From Precipice CP turning R along good path - at the first opportunity I made a direct ascent weaving through bracken (on grass), then some incipient animal/people paths through heather & gorse. Fine little hill. An embedded rock with about a 0.6m projection from ground, on SE side of large cuboid cairn, may well mark the summit. Good summit views.ger29/09/2018
2/4 Marilyn day. Foel Offrwm from the Precipice Walk car park. A round trip of 3.8km in 1 hour. (S)silveracorn_alan23/09/2018
Route as described by Gill, though we varied it a bit by keeping nearer the wall on the way up and descending a bit further W. Paths all the way. We also enjoyed fine views on an afternoon of improving weather. With brother, Pete- his second ascent!pwheeler09/09/2018

From Precipice car park, around to north ridge. Steep and short.Topographer5709/05/2018
A sneaky last Marilyn on the way home. Parked at the Precipice walk car park (free), over the road, through the gate and S up the new path until a decent grassy path heads NNE through the dead bracken, and contours ever upwards round to the N side of the hill to pick up a good path, grassy, and then mown heather all the way to the top. An easy and pleasant walk, sadly with views curtailed by mist at the top.Gill18/02/2018
From Precipice walk cp. Excellent views.ngthack15/02/2018

Parked in the Precipice Car Park as others describe. A new path has been constructed up this hill by the NT. In fact when we came back down we met the man who was doing the work and described the tools used to cut a path through the heather. Another good Marilyn giving good views for not too much effort.Father Ted06/10/2017
From Precipice car park with RW on way to bridge opening in Dinas Mawddwy. Fine hill with good all round views to higher surrounding hills.JohnIvor04/08/2017
Parked at Precipice Car Park - cross the road through the gate and the slopes of Foel Offrwm rise steeply above. We zig - zag our way to the ancient summit fort and square cairn just as the mist clears to give a stunning view. Pick up the second lower ancient fort as we return, then down very steep slopes following the wall back to the car. A quiet hill everybody goes the other way.briandavies12/03/2017

Got up ok to superb views from massive square solid cairn at top but could not find what are only sketchy paths back down and ended up scrambling down very steep slopes covered in bracken and gorse- not pleasantMark Sims16/06/2016
From Precipice Walk car park out track and path to wall then up north ridge to summit. Returned same way.SS30/04/2016
Final marilyn of 5 today. From Precipice carpark. Pretty much a straight up assault. Hard work this late in the day but well worth it for the stunning vista. Sun setting behind the end of the Rhinog ridge.Snowy Cad Idris lit up in reds and purples.. A real corker of a hill and a great place to test your hill i.d. skills. Whoever built the cairn...fair play!stig_nest28/02/2016

Everything a Marilyn should be - short, sharp steep and stunning views. Climbed at dusk on return from work trip to N Wales. Take faint path immediately after gate on the track to North, for quickest route up.huwthomas20/10/2015
from big CP with bog to S. Head E for 250m. Immediately after you leave the trees, there is a path through the bracken and gorse to a lovely summit.Thearlaichdubh18/09/2015
