From Tan-y-pistyll. Went around Llyn Lluncaws on the eastern side. The western side would probably be easier, slightly longer but looks much less boggy. Approached the summit directly from the south east, up the steep spur, not as bad as it looks.ByPathsLessTravelled16/08/2023
Time includes 15min detour to look at waterfall and 20 min break on summit. From Tan y Pistyll up to the llyn, up to ridge, out and back to summit, back down ridge to waterfall. Sunny at beginning and end but quite chilly on top. Light breeze. Rounsfell09/08/2023
Parked near end of the waterfall road, free (SJ 0758 2941). Good track leads up to Moel Sych, then across to here. On to the North Top, Craig Berwyn boundary, Tomle, Moel yr Ewig, Godor N top, Godor, Moel Poethion and return via a reasonably direct route for a 15.2km round.jonglew27/07/2023

With eldest (18) from Pistyll Rhaeadr car park. Came up through the cloud from Llyn LLuncaws, when we got to the ridge there was a wall of cloud to the right but it was clear everywhere else. Followed ridge to summit then went on to the north top and back to Moel Sych.clyoung01/07/2021

Cracking walk up from waterfalls to lake, then straight up side, fine ridge walk along top to the other peaks, incredible views of pretty much the whole of north and mid Wales, nice and clear. From roadside parking at Tan Y Pistyll, up beside waterfall then on the permissive path (boggy in places) over Trum Felen to Moel Sych. Crossed the fence then on to both Cadair Berwyn summits. Paused to eat lunch in the large wind shelter. Descent (quite steep) along the top of Craig Y Llyn cliffs to the outfall of Llyn Lluncaws then followed the valley of Nant y Llyn to the road. Approx 5.5 miles, 1900 feet ascent. Cold and breezy day, cloudy-bright with passing showers. With Lindsey.Skip25/09/2020

Short walk from Moel Sych to the new summit of Cadair Berwyn, the rocky outcrop before the shelter where there is no trig point. Fine views of the valleys on either side, great spot for a picnic.giant_hiker03/08/2019
Walked round anti clockwise. Path up to foot of hill lovely. Path up the edge of hill definitely on the edge! Wide area at top. Continued to highest point, the broch (?) and then onto cairn. Didn’t go down the path but carried on to next small cairn (full of wasps) then down to fence and finally to stunning waterfall.elizyanne02/08/2019
