Route from Kieron Gribbon’s book Ireland’s county high points a three mile walk taking an hour from a minor road and junction on the miners way at 91979 19128. | WAYNE ROWLETT | 21/09/2021 |
No access problems. We used the Seltnaveena wind farm road and walked all the way towards the Roscommon/Leitrim border. Used mapmywalk for this and the compass app on my phone to check height climbed. Beautiful scenery. | Audi-Anne | 08/10/2016 |
Parked at 919191 and headed up the gravel track. Past the sandpits and the roofless nut before finding the Cairn for the Roscommon top. With GB. | bolton | 31/03/2015 |
Parked at the junction of the Miners Way and the minor road to the E. (G91968 19142) - Up track for about 2km - Shortly after passing a roofless hut on the right, turned left to the small cairn in the heather at G90412 19521 - According to Gribbon, this cairn marks the high point of Roscommon (PM) | gerrybowes | 31/03/2015 |

Followed the Miners Way from 919190. Forgot to do the HuMP as well. | jimbloomer | 12/09/2011 |
first ascent, 2 in party, warm and clear, part of a several summit day by car. parked in a lay-by on the minor road below seltannasaggart, followed miners way up to the wid farm, across a deep re entrant to the summit, well the highest point left as the summit appears to be have dug away. returned to track for the county summit. which turned out to be a scalped area beside the track, probably going to be another turbine placement. | rum doodle | 09/07/2010 |
Very misty walk up tracks from south. Found summit among st the wind farm | nickywood1 | 14/05/2009 |
The top of Corrie Mt is a wasteland with open cast mining. The highest point 426m is in County Sligo and is in danger of being mined out of existence!!. The highest point in Roscommon is at G903 916 412m on the side of Corrie Mt. | Harry Goodman | 20/06/2008 |
