Parked near end of the waterfall road, free (SJ 0758 2941). Good track leads up to Moel Sych, then Cadair Berwyn, its N Top, Craig Berwyn (Boundary), Tomle, Moel yr Ewig, Godor N Top, then continued along the ridge to here. Backtracked for Moel Poethion then returned to car via a reasonably direct route for a 15.2km round. | jonglew | 27/07/2023 |

Parked at free layby before Tan y pistyll, then walked in to camp at Llyn Lluncaws. Round of Moel yr Ewig, Godor x 2, Moel Poethion, Cadair Berwyn x 2, Craig Berwyn & Moel Sych. | welshyboyo | 01/05/2023 |
Cwm Maen Gwynedd - Godor - Godor N Top - Moel yr Ewig - Cadair Berwyn - Cadair Berwyn N Top - Craig Berwyn - Tomle - Foel Wen - Foel Wen S Top - Mynydd Tarw - Cwm Maen Gwynedd. A lovely horseshoe, but despite this being the best route up one of the finest hills in NE Wales, it is very hard to find somewhere to park. Pretty clear 'No Parking' sign at Tyn-y-ffridd where the phone box is. Eventually managed to pull in opposite the farm buildings at Tyn-y-rhos. | Mark Jackson | 26/11/2022 |

This is probably the best circular walk to be had in the Berwyns completing the 10 peaks on this hike.

Parked in a small lay-by that could fit two cars by the stream on the minor road before the telephone box, its a 180 degree bend that you struggle to make the turn.

I used the post code SY10 0DE to get to the start of the walk and this gets you into the correct location in the valley and very close to the start.

Walk up to the phone box, take the lane up behind it, go through Maes farmyard and up to the bend in the road. The public right of way up to the left across the fields is clearly waymarked. Good views away towards minor hills on the left.
From here its very straight forward to follow the route, we went right before the climb up onto the ridge to Cadiar Bronwen which had great views from the top.
You have to retrace your footsteps up onto Cadair Berwyn and then onto Moel Sych. Then back again and cut across the front of Cadair Berwyn onto Moel Yr Ewig / Godor. From h | Buckleymon | 07/03/2022 |
From North Top. Quick, easy descent south, down storch, rough pasture in sunshine to pick up track to road at Gardden. On to Glan-hafon. | Wycombe Wanderer | 21/01/2022 |
Parked at Tin y Ffridd, up to Mynnydd Tarw, on to Foel Wen, next to Tomle, down to saddle bridle way to Bwlch Mean Gwynedd. Nip up Cadair Bronwen, back to Cadair Berwyn, descent to mines at SJ074326. Contoured south and east to saddle Moel yr Ewig, up to and Godor tops. Descent due east to footpath north of Bryn Gwyn. | andrew.morel | 07/11/2021 |

Godor, Godor N top, Moel Poethion, Moel yr Ewig & Moel Sych - Berwynion. Parked at SJ 11869 30633 space on grass by bridge for a few cars. S along road to high point 362m then track W to crest of ridge then along fence lines to summit of Godor & N top. Took a direct line to Moel Poethion, unpleasant, then fence lines to Moel yr Ewig. Followed fence on to summit ridge through steep band, not too bad, then to summit of Moel Sych. Descent via E ridge and over outflow of Llyn Lluncaws then direct line towards Godor N top, tough terrain. Fence lines back to road. Cloud inversion lower down but high summits still in cloud. | jacobrichmond | 06/11/2020 |

From Tyn-y-Ffridd; part of Berwyn Horseshoe. Sunny. | Winterfloodian | 25/07/2018 |
13.2 mile walk from Pistyll Rhaeadr, climbed up path by Nant Y Llyn then followed dried up stream onto the ridge (very rough), went out and back to Godor, then followed ridge over Moel Yr Ewig and lovely trail up face of Cadair Berwyn above the almost dried up tarn, joined ridge up to Cadair Berwyn summit (2nd time) and onto along to Moel Sych (2nd time), then descended path south onto Trum Felen ridge, then cut down the side on grass to footbridge over Afon Disgynfa, climbed on grass then hideous heather to Post Gwyn, then followed ridge pathless but fairly easy terrain all the way to Glan-Hafon (have to cross several fences on ridge one with barbed wire), then descended down lane and path to Pistyll Rhaeadr. Started walk in cloud, but got sunnier as the day went on and very hot, storm clouds towards end, didn't see anyone throughout: 6hrs 35. | DanTrig | 13/07/2018 |
Having completed Nuttall's walk 7.5 in the early afternoon I decided I had time to return to do the two summits of Godor which we missed off the Berwyn Horseshoe walk in 2015 due to deep snow. While eating my tea near the top of Godor in the early evening I decided I had time to walk out to the Dodd Moel Hen-fache. | Herbert Anchovy | 23/06/2018 |

very hard under foot as it was cold and had been snowing

this is a boggy walk so my advise is do it in the hight of winter or summer as you will get wet | Darren-443 | 10/02/2017 |
Solo walk. Start/finish in Tyn-y-Ffridd. Climbed Mynydd Tarw, Foel Wen, Tomle, Cadair Berwyn (both tops), Moel Sych, Moel yr Ewig and Godor ... basically Nuttall route minus Cadair Bronwen. 5 hours. Weather horrendous at times ... squally showers, gales, cold, but sunny spells in afternoon. A good walk; few paths and boggy in places but the escarpment of the main ridge is impressive, especially view of Llyn Lluncaws. Cadair Berwyn is really a forgotten mountain of Wales, despite its height ... saw nobody all day! | jamessteel100 | 22/12/2016 |
Solo walk during a weekend trip to Llangollen for a friend's Birthday. Tyn-y-ffridd - Godor - along Nuttalls to Cadair Berwyn - north as far as Moel yr Henfaes - back to Cadair Bronwen - over Tomle ridge - back to Tyn-y-ffridd. Amazing weather with a cloud inversion. | AGWilliamson | 17/12/2016 |
