A four-topper from the CP next to Darowen church. First the ROW and field climb to Fron Goch. Down To Nantygaseg Farm and the road below, turned left and then picked up a zig-zag path through the bracken from opposite Cegir to the Glyndwr's Way just SW of Cern Goch. Quick detour to the summit and along ridge fence track E to pick up GW again. ROWs back to Darowen then continued to Ffridd Pen-y-Graig and over sheep fields and fences to Bryn-Einon. Track and minor road return.summitter29/08/2023
Parked at the end of the road to the east. Followed the Glyndwr's Way, then a short detour to the summit.PeterAH07/03/2022
Possible to park, without blocking gates & farm access, at end of road to ENE at SH 8333 0312 - Followed Glyndwr's Way as far as bend at 823028 & then SW over sheep pasture to broken gate at SH 8222 0272 - Carefully over gate, up to fence line & then WSW along S. side of fence to summit knoll & rocky rib which looks as high. Parked at junction to SW for a nice circuit of Fron Goch, Ffridd Pen-y-Graig and Cefn Coch.PGCE11/02/2021
Delightful summit in sheep pasture in improving weather - last hill of a 5 hump (+2 tump) day ahead of the forthcoming Welsh Covid lockdown. Descended excellent steep zig zap grassy track on S side of ridge above Nantygased farm. RoW to E(Beillan-Deg) is overgrown but can be bypassed on sheep pasture.Denise 21/10/2020
From Cwm Berllan then SW along the ridge with patches of blue sky appearing after a somewhat grey day. Last of 7 hills on a circular walk from Aberciger making the most of the last few days before Wales returns to Covid lock-down again on Friday. Apart from a friendly girl in Abercegir we haven't seen a soul all day.RichardM21/10/2020
A circular walk from Darowen. Over Fron Goch and Cefn Coch. With B and R.jenx12/03/2020
From Fron Goch via track to north of Pont Aber-Cegir, then ridge traverse. Would have been a very fine walk in good weather but was light rain sweeping in. Couldn't find the bridleway shown in Cwm Berllan-deg, instead making a descending traverse to Ty-nant, then lane to Darowen.Wycombe Wanderer31/12/2019
Abercegir- Cefn Coch- Darowen- Ffridd Pen-y-Graig- Darowen- Fron Goch- Nantygaseg- Abercegir day walk with Pete. Our first hill- up most of the way on the Owain Glyndwr way with a little trespass to get on the ridge. Only summit-bagging purists need to negotiate the barbed wire fence along the ridge- so that’s all this site’s users. We found an abandoned tractor door which we used to help! To get to Darowen, we used the most direct bridleway. Though there’s no sign of it on the ground where it leaves the OGW at SH 8256 0285, there are gates in all the right places down to Tynant.pwheeler17/09/2018
Out and back along Glyndwr's Way from the road end to E. grassy knoll and Rocky rib.Eddie23/08/2018
As I reached the summit the rain finally started to ease off after having poured it down all the way from Machynlleth.Alex C14/04/2017

From end of road to ENE (not on satnav). You can follow a fence more directly than Glyndwr's Way although it involves a couple of barbed wire fences.clivevilla23/07/2015
Park at end of rising lane to south of Glantwyrmyn. Just enough room to avoid blocking farm gates. Walk westward along Glyndwr's Way. Delightful easy walk with superb views for such a low hill. 40 minutes, there and back.Campbell Singer05/07/2015

From Darowen (SH 830 017) - circular excursion taking in Cefn Coch then Fron Goch.summitsup16/04/2013
Penegoes to Commins Coch: Steep approch from SH822021 - it goes but need to skirt gorse & pick way through muddier areas. Descent to Ty-nant was straightforward.Smudge15/02/2013
Parked at end of road to ENE. Followed bridle path.destaylor17/03/2011
do not try to come off the top via the path to the south west. it doesn't exist and the bracken and ferns will kill you.DARRENG25/10/2010
On access track through sheep pastures to thistle covered moor. Over 2 or 3 rusty wire fences to top at 13.35.arranc16/07/2001
