The fields had just been cut so easy walking up to the mound but then 50 mrts of very high bracken and mixed bramble. | DC11main | 04/08/2019 |
Gate at SN144114. Up left of crop field to gate at SN144116. Up/around right edge of crop field to area of 'fort'. Trig visible despite 5ft high bracken. Good views. Visited after Brandy Hill as insurance against it being re-twinned. | Neil Midgley | 24/06/2018 |
Up field from ssw. Trig sitting on eastern end of tumulus | vegibagger | 08/11/2016 |
Parked on the road. No public footpath so I was a bit concerned what I would say if the farmer asked me what I was doing. I decided that I studied hill forts. | clivevilla | 15/11/2011 |
Two fields but still needed to navigate to find a trig. | Eddie | 24/02/2011 |
Easy stroll from SSW. Managed to avoid being spotted from farm (fortunately they weren't bringing in the washing as I passed). All gates were open! | chriswatson | 08/11/2010 |
From road to SSW 10-min walk through field just E of farm then 2 more fields to trig point on old earthworks. Lovely day, lots of birds. | dbb | 16/06/2010 |

Short walk. | Dusty | 11/06/2009 |
Easy access over gate before Middleton Farm then thro' 2 gates before climbing earthwork to summit trig. No vegetation or fences were harmed bagging this easy summit. | Dugswell2 | 15/02/2009 |
Felt a bit furtive. | destaylor | 14/08/2008 |
Walked with young Beth after coming off Moelygolfa. Did not see the wild white pony this time, but saw lots of deer. Nice bit of scrambling and rock climbing for Beth at the top. | wee mac | 09/03/2008 |
Sneaked up without anybody seeing me. Bit of an earthwork near trig pillar. | signyred | 29/06/2006 |

small hillfort earthwk, in pasture, undramatic view. from SW is straightforward, from a gate just E of Middleton Farm driveway, approx SN145113. Head N then NE: gates all the way. Hidden from view from the farm by tall hedge / trees. Tip-off by Eric Hardman; last time I'd gone from SE which is dire. | RHW | 18/08/2002 |
With Darren. A friendly farmer escorted us so that we didn't get shouted at by the colnel who lived nearby! | Chris Pearson | 23/04/2000 |
Over 3 fields to a WDP leading to column on small but substantial earthwork. | arranc | 01/05/1999 |
