From Eel crag it was straight down a rocky ridge and back up again. Wasn’t as bad as I imagied but still hard work. The top of Sail is a nice grassy plateau with a few stone cairn. Lovely views down to coledale. Had a decent rest before going back to Eel crag.Scotty 2 Hotty22/06/2019

With Joanna. Rowling End:- Steep, tiring, hot, and horrible. We seen a tree though. Oh yeah, half a sheep's face too. As well as other bits of the same sheep laying about everywhere. Causey Pike:- Not sure if this was terrifying or exhilarating. Scar Crags:-Worth it. Such red. Wow. (The recent heat wave seems to have made all the plants red? It looked cool anyways.) Sail:- **** that path. The Rest:- We nearly ran out of water, so we decided to head back.. Then my GPS died, so I didn't log the last couple of miles. Awesome walk all in all. 11/10 would walk again.DAB8118/07/2018

Parked at Braithwaite with Chris and did a circuit starting with Causey Pike then Scar Crags, Sail, Outerside and Barrow. Lovely day perfect walking weather. I forgot my walking boots and had to go up in trainers but it was reasonably dry and the route very safe. Climb up rocks onto top of Causey Pike but not as difficult as it looks to start with and worth doing the last few feet.karentracey12/05/2018
