With Joanna. Rowling End:- Steep, tiring, hot, and horrible. We seen a tree though. Oh yeah, half a sheep's face too. As well as other bits of the same sheep laying about everywhere. Causey Pike:- Not sure if this was terrifying or exhilarating. Scar Crags:-Worth it. Such red. Wow. (The recent heat wave seems to have made all the plants red? It looked cool anyways.) Sail:- **** that path. The Rest:- We nearly ran out of water, so we decided to head back.. Then my GPS died, so I didn't log the last couple of miles. Awesome walk all in all. 11/10 would walk again.DAB8118/07/2018

Up NW ridge from Long Comb with Eire, Evan, Sail, Danu, Coel & Alfie. We descended avoiding the criminal blot on the landscape that is the zig-zagged bulldozed path that has ruined the picturesque views, visible for miles around. This path has not mellowed with time and is a disgusting act of vandalism inflicted on the hillside. Every time I am up here I am disgusted how this monstrosity was ever sanctioned and for what reason it was created. The Lake District is supposed to be a protected landscape - not a theme park with bulldozed highways to each summit!Dangerous Dave16/07/2016
