Had thought this would be an easy day. Parked at entrance to track, said track is a quagmire, gets better as you enter the lovely gorge. went to Meall a’ Choire Riabhaich first using a ford and a bit of track. River was high so got wet feet. Then used animal tracks, then grazed land for ben clach. Back to the quagmire via the tussocks. much harder than expected. Gorge is lovely, worth a visit.hils01/03/2024

Avoid Tigh-na-Blair - they don't like you walking through the farm, or walking on the hill.nicolajane18/09/2023
From start of - partially hidden -ATV track. Where there is enough space to neatly park your car. It had been dry and still was quite boggy in places. Followed track. Over one gate. New fence on right. At the corner , where the head high bracken started , I climbed the fence and went off piste. Hummocky tussocky all the way to summit. Cloudberry fruiting on summit lump. Meadow pipit galore. One kestrel. Sheep - black faced ewes - had been gathered into fields closer to farm. A tough hill I thought. Is it any easier from north ? As vegetation looked more kind …VerySlowPlodder06/07/2023
From the usual ATV track on B827.KevPalmer09/05/2023
From layby at NN 7756 1784.5 mins along road then up the mapped track to Little Hill. ATV tracks go all the way to the summit. Descended south west to the fords. The plan then was to go up Ben Clach using the ATV track (visible on the OS aerial view) on its northern slope. This would have been an easy ascent. But some members of our group headed directly up the rough slopes. Came back down using the ATV track. Not a nice day. Wetter, windier and claggyier than forecast.Fife Walking19/02/2023
From usual starting point on B827. Excellent conditions with ground frozen solid...boggy track, not a problem. Turned off track at Corriebeagh Burn, where there's a new fence to be climbed, easy enough, no barbed wire. Nice easy walking alongside the fence for a bit, until it turns left. This is where to leave the fence and head into the long tussocky grass and head straight up the hill. Going gets easier further up, where it gets steeper.Robertgee09/12/2022
The track is a lot better than expected; the wet bits are all dodge-able. But the tussocks beyond are utterly vile and the grass is anything up to waist height. Fortunately, the snow line was higher up. The steep ground is great, easy to walk on and the snow made it pretty but the top? Urgh, heather and snow in a gale. But I was rewarded with the most amazing sunset and light show on the way down, so the suffering was (almost) worthwhile. Despite the short distance and small amount of climbing, it is neither a quick nor easy walk, especially in snow.Gill04/12/2021
From parking at the gate at 780152. Wet underfoot but easy going on the ATV track. From the gorge headed directly uphill. After the long grass it gets easier but heather in the summit area much harder. 2 and a half hour walk in excellent conditions. Solo.bolton15/11/2021
Solo. From the gate on the B827 road at the start of an ATV track that goes SW (very wet today). At the point where the track goes down to Corriebeagh Burn left the track and went above the gorge for a bit before ascending more or less straight to the summit of Ben Clach. Hard going with lots of tussocky grass but getting easier higher up. Summit area covered with heather. Descended on E side of Allt Coire a' Chroisg, thinking it might be easier this way but it wasn't. A beautiful sunny day.pwbellarby13/11/2021
From gate on B827 across track (dry today) then picked way through tussocks to slightly better going further up. Mist so saw nothing - hill looked quite good from car when I returned (same way).SS03/07/2021
Solo jog from the eastamswanston04/06/2021
Parked beside B827 at gate at end of ATV track (NN780151), followed track to the high point just before the ravine of the Corriebeagh Burn, then straight up slopes to summit of Ben Clach, descended S, following Allt Coire a' Chroisg, E along top of Corriebeagh Burn ravine back to the ATV track, then return to B827.kdbennett10/04/2021
Parked at NN780151. Track was, thankfully, frozen hard otherwise it would have been very wet. Followed track across bridge to NN772142 then headed up Ben Clach on very faint path, soon lost. Rough, hillocky ground to summit. Headed north on rough track to bealach then off-piste to Ben Clach North Top. Faint paths east to Little Hill (true top and trig) then straight down to radio mast and short track on to the road. 1 mile trek down the road back to start point.TRG31813/01/2021

Up through bog and tussocks. Gmac aheadelizyanne12/10/2020
Parked in small layby by gate at NN 7804 1515 - Through gate & along ATV track, crossing bridge over the Allt an t-Sellich - At point where track drops down to the Corriebeagh Burn, left track & headed for summit - Plenty of tussock & any trods/paths lay hidden beneath the long grass & bracken; fortunately, going got easier above about 320m. On approach to summit, lots of cloudberry mixed in with heather & bilberry. (S)gerrybowes29/07/2020
From B827, NN780151, along wet ATV track, over bridge over large burn, to where track descends into Corriebeagh Burn. From here a few an tx, presumably made by those surviving being blown up, eased passage direct for summit for 100m through tussocks, but then the inevitable exasperating tussock dodging until a ramp of short grass led up R, then L over tough heather et al to rounded summit, marked by a broken stick. Back same way as everywhere else was foul tussocks.Isbjorn18/03/2019
From Glen Artney car park up Beinn Odhar and one way traverse over the higher hump summit, circuitous route to cross streams and up onto the TuMPs of Beinn Clack, the summit and the outlying NE lower TuMPs and 5 mile walk back along road in the dark. All high summits in cloud.vegibagger17/11/2018
From Tigh-na-Blair (kindly farmer let me park in his yard) to Little Hill, then Ben Clach (north top) and Ben Clach (proper) following myriad sheep tracks, deer tracks and vehicle tracks. Saved an upended, worse-for-wear ram from death on the way down.summitter05/10/2018
2 of 4: From B827 at P234: 780152ChrisR09/02/2018
From layby on B827 at start of track to Glen Artney. Followed faint and boggy ATV track over a footbridge across first stream until it dropped down to a second stream, then headed uphill towards summit. Returned by same route.PaulineD02/02/2018
From layby at 780151, along track to river, then straight up. Ok at this time of year, but probably thick bracken later on. The ditch/stream just south of the layby is quite deep but there is a bridge on the track.daviemore15/04/2017
Weather fair with snow on ground.MountainMac14/01/2017
There isn't really a parking space by the track to Tigh na Blair, apart from on private land beside the track. We walked up that track and then across the bridge.Pete R07/01/2017
From track end at Tigh na Blair. Short 90min up and down walk over fields and heather slopes...frozen turf made easy going. One of the best view points for the Munros Ben Vorlich and Stuc a'ChroinN.Morters27/11/2016

Path most of the way from North Top alongside grouse butts then easy heather near summit, back down same way to pick up track to Tigh na Blair where the locals were having a fireworks party (at lodge not main house).alda01/01/2016
Up via the farm track and bridge. No wet feet!jenx19/12/2015
Parked at road end of track to Tigh na Blair w Jenx. Past farm and easy fell to summit.nordicstar19/12/2015
Heavy rain meant the burn to the east was 4' deep & too wide to jump, so abandoned soggy attempts to approach from the B827 and went round to north instead, parked at NN 74466 18036. Red flags all gone. Anti-clockwise Cnoc nan Oighreag, Ben Clach, N.Top. Strong wind.agentmancuso04/08/2015
from the east rough boggy grass managed to jump over the stream then up to the top.robertphillips01/02/2015
Tried parking near Tigh na Blair but farmer didn't look too impressed so parked at layby further south and had to cross boggy ground to gain lower slopes. Heard distant gunfire from stalkers so didn't hang about!. Bit fraught, this one.AndrewFinnimore29/10/2014
Solo trip from roadside at NN780152. Extremely wet underfoot; glad I wore wellies.Invicta1428/02/2014
after Coire Odhar. Parked at gate at 775156. This is the only obvious off road parking. It means after 5 minutes you have to plunge into 50cm of icy cold water, and do the same on your return. The smoke canister is still beside the summit post. Nice hill to look at.Thearlaichdubh29/12/2013

On busy B827 3/4 m from start of walk. Through 2 gates over bridge and up over sheep pastures to a range marker. False horizon followed false horizon on steady trudge over 1' heather to top at 11.10. My 600th Scottish Marilyn.arranc13/06/2002
