From Bowness (Ennerdale). 
17 km, 1000 m asc. 
E down the main track and over Char Dub Bridge and S up to Caw Fell. E along the Ennerdale Fence to Little Gowder Crag, Haycock, Great Scoat Fell and Scoat Fell. Over Middle Scoat Fell and N down and up to Steeple. Down by the N ridge over Long Crag and W over Lingmell. Back by Woundell Bridge and the main track.

From the forest commission car park for Bowness Knott on the North shore of Ennerdale water, took to the track for the Yha and turned right at the first occasion then the first left to start the climb for Lingmell, continuing on the same path over Tewit how to Haycock, Little Gowder crag, Caw fell and finally Ennerdale fell (Iron crag).
