A repeat of the Mosedale Horseshoe from the NT Car Park. Visiting Looking Stead, Pillar, Black Crag, Scoat Fell (all 3 summits), Steeple, Red Pike (Wasdale), Black Crag, and Yewbarrow (both summits) which is proving an increasing challenge for me at the end of a big day. A glorious day in the Lakes, with extensive views across the whole LDNP. 20km with 1330m ascent in 8h 30m.silverwolf_alan24/08/2023

From Overbeck Bridge car park - Yewbarrow - Dore Head - Red Pike - Little Scoat Fell - Great Scoat Fell- Haycock - down Nether Beck to road. Overcast. With Gillianrichard6930/12/2018
Beautiful November day. Clear blue sky and warm out of the wind. Started at Overbeck Bridge and enjoyed the steep ascent through the crags. Went on to Stirrup Crag and then down to Dore Head. As it was only 13:30 we carried on to Red Pike then retraced our steps to the south top looking for the chair but failed. So we descended to low tarn then down into Over Beck and back to out starting point. Fantastic day.axe.stephen17/11/2018

Hairy descent to Dore head.jpitches09/04/2018
Up from Over Beck Car park up the river valley with wife. Weathwer claggy but improved as the day went on. Onto Dore Head for lunch. Then took the 'Third Path' essentially staying level with Dore Head over a weak scree and stone path til we found the obvious middle of the saddle direct route. Took in both summits, but then retreated to lee because of biting wind. Never looked forward to doing Yewbarrow, but it's over now. It looks so ominous, but we found a way to kinda tame it. More direct on the official path downhill after a bit of bum-sailing.nukeboy105/10/2017

Glad I missed this out when I did the Mosedale horseshoe yesterday as there was very little cloud today and the views were fantastic. Parked in the NT car park at Overbeck Bridge and ascended on the path up the South face. Walked across to the North top and then back to the lowest point between the two tops and took the path which descends transversely to Dore head. Back down on the path West of the beck. Very wet underfoot.tsharp13/09/2017
