11.8 mile circular from Sadgill. Up Gatesgarth Pass, then leaving it to cross Bronthwaite Bottom up to the wall. We followed the wall up onto Branstree summit then followed the well-defined slightly boggy path to Selside Pike. We headed back to Branstree via High Howes, then descended back to pass. We followed the good path up Harter Fell (previously ascended in 2004) and continued along the ridge to Kentmere Pike and carried onto Shipman Knotts descending to pass back down to Sadgill. 1007m ascent. The weather was variable as we started in full cloud, then it got sunny, then it almost got rainy and finally windy, back down to the dale which was warm. Typical Lakes weather!DanTrig11/09/2022
Clockwise circular walk (with Helene) from Sadgill up Gatesgarth Pass as far as the junction for the Nan Bield Pass. Up onto Branstree and onto Seaside Pike via the Pillar and pools. Then took a cross country route contouring around to Mosedale Cottage where we cooled off from the heatwave conditions (most welcome!). Up onto Tarn Crag and then across a very dry bog to Grey Crag. Returning via Great Howe and Stockdale.Butty14/08/2022
