Solo afternoon outing for 3 hours. Lovely clear icy and sunny day. My aim was a circuit to include the 4 Lamps below Dove Crag which stood out well from this higher perch, dramatically edging above the precipice of Stand Crags and little visited Hogger Gill.Chris Pearson25/11/2023

My fourth round of the 4 Red Screes Wainwrights from the car park at Brothers Water, visiting Middle Dodd. Red Screes and its Synge Raven Crag, Little Hart Crag, and High Hartsop Dodd. Then I retraced my route back past Little Hart Crag and east along the ridge, before dropping by the old fenceposts past the impressive around Stand Crags to Stangs. A magnificent area below Dove Crag that I have not previously visited in my 60 years of Lakeland walking. Finally dropped down to the main track in Dovedale and back to Brothers Water. A great day, despite the misty conditions. 17km with 970m ascent 6h30m.silverwolf_alan31/10/2023
