Troutbeck Chapel -> Garburn Road (briefly) -> Sour Howes -> Sallows -> Garburn Road -> Troutbeck Chapel Rainy, misty day, both of which more or less lifted to allow us to visit both peaks and the connecting ridge. All of the family enjoyed the very boggy ground, with Freddy ending up face down at one point. A world-record breaking number of Oreos saw the party with enough energy to make it back down.Ham and Skate31/08/2019

Solo day from Troutbeck. Had to park up in the village as it was Sunday and the Church goers took up all of the parking in the area I wanted to start from... anyway. From Troutbeck Village taking the bridal track to cross the A592 onto Hagg Bridge then across to the FB and up to Troutbeck Tongue. Up and onto Froswick, Ill Bell and Yoke (love that stretch, done it many times on different walks). Then onto bag Sallows and Sour Howes dropping down the grassy slopes to the Garburn Road and back to the car. Chilly at times in the easterly wind.Butty25/11/2018

After driving up from work on Friday we had the intention to do the High street range so stopped Friday after having a drink in the Crown and Mitre stayed on Mardale carpark that night at Haweswater. Woke up on Saturday to very bad weather so made the decision to move inwards and find something smaller. After driving the amazing Shap road and stopping at a burger van we decided on the Kentmere horseshoe. Parking by the church at Kentmere we headed towards Yoke. But with the still bad weather the slow pace we decided to just do Sallows and Sour Howes. From the cross roads at Garburn pass we headed straight up to Sallows. No views sadly..Scotty 2 Hotty23/09/2017
