parked at the castle and made our way down the Esk Trail. quickly stopping at the gorgeous tarn for a look and to be back later. quickly made it to the summit. this is a fantastic fell with huge views. loved just sitting at the top taking it all in. made our way back to the tarn where Bec has a dip in the tarn. met 2 men and 2 dogs on the way down who suggested a good dipping spot near black combe. quickly got back to the car to drive to the next one. | Scotty 2 Hotty | 03/02/2024 |

The Thrrd excursion of the day having picked up Boat How and Irton Pike earlier. Parked on Muncaster Castle car park and headed up Fell lane and on to the fell to pick up Hooker Crag. KD Ascended to the trig along ridge footpath from NE via Ross's Camp (slipped a bit off one leg) not realising this bypassed the actual highest point.
