September 23 Heatwave week- breaking all records. High 20s today. With L long easy fun scramble in boots up the ravine of Crinkle Gill - frequent dunking of my shirt & hat to keep cool. 27 yrs ago I last scrambled up it when frozen with ice axes! Steep ascent out of the beautiful craggy corrie up to the main Crinkles ridge at Mickledore. Over all the Crinkle tops (of which there are many). Wainwright loved this slow rocky ridge and in his guidebook mapped all the confusing tops both ways. | Chris Pearson | 07/09/2023 |

With Jus, Cat & Jim. Loop from Langdale, up the band, across Crinkle Crags, down to Cold Pike and back down via Red Tarn and Oxendale. Tough going given that we were all either injured, ill or exhausted! However, a glorious day enjoyed by all, with amazing weather for October. Loved bagging a hill every few hundred feet on the crinkles! | wheresthepath | 02/10/2022 |
