From North Face Car Park (NN 14496 76426). Followed North Face Trail towards CIC Hut before peeling off to make the relentless ascent of Carn Dearg Meadhonach, very boggy in lower reaches but the path improves as height is gained; then onwards to Carn Mor Dearg. Re-traced the outward route back to the start.david23020114/08/2019

With NB. From North Face car park. Heat wave, cloudless, almost windless, very slight haze. Only saw one other small group all the way to Ben Nevis. First time on the arete. No difficulties but took it slowly in the heat.Owen B29/06/2018
Ascended this from the CIC hut. We missed the easier route and went vertical topping straight onto the summit. Hard up with good scrambling all the way. Loose rocks but easy keeping to the grassy sections and larger rocks. Patchy views of Ben but worth it. Highly recommend this route. With weekend walkers.Zoe Little10/06/2018

Ascent, initially solo, but teaming up with a fellow hill walker, from the North Face car park of Carn Dearg Meadhonach, Carn Mor Dearg, and Ben Nevis. Beautiful sunny day, snow on slopes and summits. Firm enough for walking on without sinking, but not requiring crampons. Ice axe required for exposed and step section.
